Good morning everyone, we will not see the sun today, all well and good as a contractor is going to re-do part of the front lawn and I have to remove flowers to assure their survival. Low 70's, nice working weather.

Happy Friday morning. The temps are slowly dropping below 100F. My area didn't get a drop of rain from a small system that moved through. More chances of rain for the next few days. Sure hope they get here to help with all the fires.
And... Hubby will be home tomorrow... so much for peace and quiet and being able to have junk food for supper! :-D

Good morning all. I have included Good in the salutation because this is the last day of 100+ temps, the heat wave is ending. Unless Mother Nature has some perverse sense of humor and changes her mind at the last minute. We should have a cool front coming through this weekend that will bring more livable temps and look at those morning lows!!!! I can get out in the yard and play in the concrete again. No rain + black clay = concrete

    Great news Toni!
Good Saturday morning all. Currently 21°C and overcast. We had a nice rain last night so everything is watered today. That should help with my weeding projects today :)

    Good morning all.

So glad you are having better weather down in Texas finally. Must be a global weather changes, as we are finally getting some sun and summer weather again for a great holiday weekend.

We are having a great morning here. My hubby is already off to gab with his buddies (and water ski eventually), cooking breakfast for my son before his tennis practice, and making some coffee for my Mom and I to enjoy when they are gone.

Last night the weekend started out great. Raspberry fire jam, (wonderful recipe, thank you Carolyn)on top of the first of the new lamb we got, opened a bottle of wine, then watched Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in "The Bucket List". Well, there was one part, when we looked at the kitchen, after making jam and cooking "Messy Lamb Chops", that I was really glad they liked the food, as we all had to chip in to clean up the kitchen. But it looks good today, and the jam did set. :p

Good day everyone, spent the day with the relatives, no gardening. The annual labor day outing, lots of food and fun.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast with light rain. We had a thunderstorm last night with an amazing light show. Had the satellite tv repair man here again yesterday to fix the signal and today its not working again grrr The neighbors cows were loose in the alfalfa and bean field this morning, hope they didn't do too much damage. I think it's gonna be a weird day today...

Happy Sunday morning. We received one inch of rain yesterday thanks to "Lee". Absolutely WONDERFUL weather day. Cloudy and rainy all day and night. Temps were in the mid 70s yesterday afternoon and still hanging around that spot this morning. Doors and windows opened wide!
My brother and sister cancelled their plans to go to Louisiana for a family reunion because of the possibility of getting flooded in. They were disappointed. But like sis said... better to be sad and safe than sad and stuck!
So today, we're all going to my brothers for BBQ.
Hubby is home and will be cooking up the last of peas from the garden to bring over... with the last of the corn.
Oh yeah... on Thursday, Sis went out and picked the okra and cooked it up for us. She had fun doing it and just had to send photos home to her family.
    Enjoy the holiday weekend everyone!

Good morning everyone, good news to hear Texas is getting cooler and had some benefit from hurricane Lee. The late summer flowers are appearing. Oooooh, I just noticed the garden mums are open. Fall must be around the corner.

Good morning all. Today should be fairly pleasant if you stay in the shade. Breezy and 10 degrees cooler than what we have become accustomed to...only 90 at noon but that just might be close to the high.

We are way too far west and north to get anything from Tropical Storm Lee except maybe a cloud or two. And the front coming in will be a dry one since we are on the west side of TS Lee, the air is sinking which has taken our rain chances away. The winds are causing even more problems with the wildfires, dry wind will keep make them stronger and spread more.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 13°C and overcast. We had more rain overnight and I think the gardens are well watered. That should help my weeding project today - IF it doesn't rain some more. I also need to cut some grass. Have a great day all :)

Happy Labor Day for those of us in the U.S.
For me this is a much needed rest from all the labor I've done this season.
Our weather has really turned a corner! It is very Fall like. 68°F here this morning, and very pleasant.
    Have a good day!
