Good morning all. The cool front (not cold as predicted) moved through late yesterday. We got a whoppin' 1/10th of an inch (just under one half a centimeter) of rain but the temperature did finally cool down. Some all around us got a lot more, but once again we were where the weakest part of the storm went over and got almost nothing.

It's still to be in the mid-80's to 90 degree range for the next several days but the mornings are starting out in the low 60's. That's the important temperature for me, it means I can get out in the garden for a few hours.

Today I plan on doing something I have not been able to do since before the heat started in June...I am going on my plant shopping route to see what they have for fall planting. There is another garden center I have to remember to go to, they are huge and independently owned so hopefully they will have something different.

Happy Friday afternoon. We got just a tad bit of rain last night... not enough to even measure. But I'm not complaining! Today is breezy and but nice.
I'm off to the airport in a few. Can't wait to feel those nice cool San Francisco Bay breezes!

Happy October 1st all. Nice weather but still no rain.

Going to Randy's folks house today for a belated anniversary celebration.....last Thursday was their 60th wedding anniversary. We sent them flowers on the day, 6 white flowers each different (if the florist could do that) one for each decade of marriage. They were white since 60 is the Diamond Anniversary.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently a chilly 5°C and overcast with winds. We had torrential rains yesterday and there are huge puddles everywhere. I think it's time to bring my plants inside for the winter. Have a great day all :)

Good day everyone, Cold raw, damp, I think only the grass likes the weather. Me? I'm going to stay inside and arrange locations of the tropical plants as they return from summer vacation. To quote the Captain...."Brrrrrr!!"

Good morning everyone, the day is starting to be an instant replay of yesterday. Slightly drier but not one of those days that the garden says "start digging." It is much closer to "cover me up." :-|
