Tuesday - Gorgeous here in the Mid-Atlantic States. Hooray, forecast is in the high 60's. I think I am going to the park.

Morning all. Well, once again the predicted rain event fizzled out before getting here. Barely 1/8 inch in the rain gauge and the radar shows nothing else around us. Temperature is still 70 but it will drop into the 40's as the day goes on.

More candles to make, all my candle storage jars were empty so I'll spend this week getting them all filled up again.

Sitting inside here on a cold, wet Tuesday morning. It rained yesterday afternoon, we're expecting it to start again today and possibly turn to snow. Oh No I don't like snow!
I didn't quite get all the leaves raked so it's all messy and there are soggy colorful leaves all over. There are plenty of Maple and Sycamore leaves yet to come down too. Not ready for winter here!

Good Wednesday morning all! Currently 10°C and overcast. It looks like rain, which would help keep me inside to do the housework I have been avoiding for a week! It's hard to get fall cleaning started when the weather has been so nice! I want to get the living room cleaned out because on Friday we are getting new furniture :)
    Have a great day all!

Happy Wednesday morning. A cold front has brought us cooler temps. It was in the upper 50s this morning and the high shouldn't even reach 70 today. Plus it's a bit breezy, making it feel a little cooler. But lots of sunshine!
We had storms in the area yesterday. It rained like crazy at my office! Had to get at least 1.5 inches or more. Plus there were a couple of tornados that touched down in the area.
At home... we ended up with 1/2 inch of rain. Seems like everyone around us got lots more. Darn rain clouds must not like me!
    :-D

We didn't get much rain yesterday, enough to wet things but no accumulation. It was 50 this morning and got up to 60 maybe but with the wind it felt cold. Stayed inside and made chicken noodle soup and bread.

    Good morning everyone,

Its cooler here, but no frost or snow, so thats fine with me...supposed to get really cold though over the weekend and we could see some snow.

Off to do some errands today, as well as grocery shopping.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 4°C and mostly cloudy. We had high winds overnight with the arrival of a cold front...the whole house was shaking! Today I'm going to paint the laundry room cupboard doors and continue the fall cleanout. Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, are we all bright eyed and bushy tailed? With the 60°F/15°C days numbered and the winds of winter are beating at the front door, the mornings may require an extra log on the fire to make the cabin comfy warm. Or perhaps just kick the thermostat up a notch before making morning coffee/tea. The weather man said that a storm on the horizon will contain winds of up to 40 MPH. I think I will forestall raking the fallen oak leaves a tad longer. If I were a fortune teller reading the lines on an oak leaf I might foretell the taking of a long journey. The houseplants are adjusting to watching the world through a window or glass door and have started doing their indoor exorcises (bending to the window}. Spring will be many books away.....maybe two logs on the fire. :)

    Stay warm,
    Jerry

Good morning! We are in the middle of a cold front coming through. It will warm up by Saturday. But it was in 40's this morning so it didn't get into the 30's anyway. It will warm up to about 65 it says. It will be 15 to 20 mph winds so I think I will stay in and sew, maybe.
I still need to get that flower bed cleaned out. But, it will wait on me.
I see that Jerry has been here one year today. Hope he stays around a bit longer.

Happy Thursday morning. We got a little rain shower last night... not even an 1/8th inch in the rain gauge.... but that's okay. We'll take every drop we can get!
A nice cool start to the day. Lows were in the 40s and the high should get into the 70s. But it's supposed to be near freezing in the morning! My brother moved his two potted fruit trees inside yesterday (a peach and a Star Fruit).
Hope I don't forget to move them back outside when the weather gets back up to 80s... whichI'm sure it will.
Hey Jerry... congrats on your one year anniversary here!

Good morning all. Since I know that looking outside to see if it is raining is a fruitless task I think I will start looking outside to see if it has snowed yet. Nope still no snow. Got down to around 37 overnight but the dew point is so low there was no frost on anything. I have got to remember to water plants this afternoon. Not watering as often as during the summer but the plants still have to drink a couple of times a week.

    Happy GardenStew anniversary Jerry.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -1°C and mostly cloudy. I let the dog out at 5am and it was snowing and the ground was white. Luckily when I got up at 7am it was gone. Off to do some errands and shopping this morning. This afternoon, my new furniture is being delivered :)

Good morning everyone, wow, I've been 'stewing' for a year. A whole year of gardening with friends from around the world. Something I never would have dreamed of a year ago. Now it is something that is part of each day.

Here is to another year of 'stewing.'
