Happy Thursday morning. Finally, a little cooler outside. Woke up to mid-50s and the highs might reach 70F today. Lots of sunshine!

Goooood morning all. 39 degrees when I got up this morning and feels totally wonderful. No frost since the dew point is at 30 degrees. Even the Zinnias seem to be loving the cooler temps.

We have had enough cool night time temps that we are actually seeing fall color in the trees this year. My yard is almost covered with yellowing Hackberry and Pecan leaves but at least they are yellow from natural causes and not the crunchy brown we had all summer long.

Good day everyone, I just can't seem to stay indoors. I spent the last hour hunting for seeds in the now desolate landscape of flowers past. Some wild flowers had not yet dispensed their seeds to the four winds so I helped and also gathered seeds at the same time. Wood asters and a seed with the auspicious label of M5,
a purple aster type flower that blooms in the fall. Seeds from a Taxus Capitata and some Euonymus alata (burning bush). Anything else will be pure chance, I do, however, always carry a plastic bag for seeds. The next seeds will probably be found in a catalog.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. We have snow! Not a lot, but enough to cover the ground. The kids have the day off so we are going out to start our Christmas shopping.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, today will feature a crisp cool day with temps in the 40's and enough of a breeze to redistribute a few thousand fallen leaves. The trees have taken on their winter pose, spring is many fireplace fires away. We are going to my favorite restaurant tonight, where I order desert before the meal. :)

Good morning! It's bright and sunny this morning but not very warm. 50's on our thermometer but it feels colder. It will go to 70's today and dr is washing clothes. I'm having hot tea and we will probably go down to Huntsville and have breakfast and finish the shopping we started in Bryan/College Station on Wednesday.

Happy Friday morning. It was predicted that we'd get close to freezing overnight, but I don't think it did. There was no frost and it was 40F when I left home. The high should be in the upper 60s. Still lots of sunshine.

Good Morning All, This morning it was 20f, but it is supposed to warm up nicely for the weekend. I sure hope so. this is a bit cold. I have a few bulbs to plant and it is easier when the soil isn't frozen. Have a great day all.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast. The dog and I walked out to check the 'Wildgame' Camera in the bush this morning. I was very disappointed to find only 1 photo snapped in 3 days. Back out I will go and hopefully place it better. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. I bit cool and totally overcast. There's only a 20% chance of rain... but with the way the clouds look... it might just happen.
Our burn-ban has been lifted until Tuesday. The brothers are supposed to be over this weekend to burn the two big piles of scrap lumber, tree limbs etc that has stacked up all year.
So... I'm off to the grocery store to get the stuff I need to make a big pot of chicken, shrimp, sausage gumbo. Hubby wants to add okra. Had to remind him that NOONE messes with MY gumbo. But he could put some in a separate pot and add the okra to that.

Hello everyone. Good day today. Installed a new over the stove/range microwave this morning. Only one scraped knuckle and only got bit once by the electric. (Former install done improperly) I didn't cuss a blue streak either. Filled the wife's mini-van with gas, hauled more manure,(not in the mini-van) and got a landscaper to promise to deliver shredded leaves he cleans up from his customers yards. If Cheryl would just invite me over for some gumbo........... :D
