Good afternoon all. A cold front moved across us around noon, darkened the sky with heavy clouds ...but is dropping it's rain....wait for it.....south and east of us. Typical!!

We got out and did some gift shopping this morning. Got three major gifts bought, now just need to find some little things.
And we have to find something for oldest grandson who turns 16 on the 4th.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 11°C and overcast. The sky is very dark so I think it could pour with rain any minute!
Today I hope to get my youngest daughters room and closet cleaned out. I may have to save part of that job for when she is at school :)
    Have a great day all!

Happy Sunday morning. The temps are in the 40s with lots of wind, making it feel even colder. At least the sun is shining!
Yesterday, it rained most of the afternoon. I 'll have to brave the wind in a bit and see how much is in the rain gauge.
Today's outdoor plans? None really. Guess I should double check on the covering of the plant racks to make sure the wind hasn't blown them off since it will be down near freezing again tonight.
So... my only other plans is to make turkey soup!

Good afternoon! The sun is shining and it's about 50 degrees and the wind is blowing big time. It's cold outside. I was going to do some outside decorating but either I or the decorations would end up a mile or two away through no efforts of our own.
We went down to Huntsville this morning and my arms are tired from keeping the truck on the road. I'm glad I was on a state Hwy and not up on the interstate. It was bumper to bumper both ways. The state highway had only a few cars and it's almost side by side with the big road.
I made turkey soup Friday and we finished it yesterday. I think today I'll make cookies.

Well, I have had a busy day so far.

I got 6 or 8 - 4 pound already cooked lobsters last night. This morning we shelled them packaged them in tails alone and 2 claws together and misc in other bags and put them in the freezer. I boiled down the shells and it's cooling a bit, to be strained and then I will freeze it all in 2 cups per zip lock baggie.

I also cleaned all the turkey bones from Thursday and baggied it up in small amounts and put it in the freezer also. Now the bones are in the pot boiling for broth.

I am sitting for a while, then I will make dinner. Nothing really special tonight.

Happy Monday morning. No work for me today... and I'm glad! It was way too cold early this morning. And it's still in the mid40s with the winds still hanging around, although they don't appear to be as strong as yesterday. But there is LOTS of sunshine. If the winds die down, you can bet I'll try to find something to do outdoors. I've been stuck inside for 2 straight days... it's driving me mad! :-o

Good morning all. Froze last night, only 30 when I got up. It took out the last of the Zinnias and most of the Canna so it must have been below 32 for a few hours, many other plants are not looking very happy too...sure was good sleeping weather with the window open and the window fan bringing in the cold air!!

Good day everyone, I think winter has been cancelled. The temperature outside hit 63 and at one point it was warmer outside than inside. :) O.K. spring is around the corner. :setc_005:

Happy Tuesday morning. Another frosty start to the day with temps in the lower 30s. High should be mid60s. It's beautiful and sunny with not a cloud in the sky. And yep... the winds have have finally stopped. And, of course, I'll be stuck inside the office all day. ;)

Good morning! It's sunny and cold out there. We had ice yesterday but I haven't been out to check on it today. It was a good day for oatmeal for breakfast. I think I'll stay inside until it warms up into the 60's.
