Good morning everyone, the temperatures are starting to fall and the weatherman says "winter storm front moves in.' O.K. who has been fiddling around with the Winter/Summer switch? Now it's probably broken now and can't be fixed till spring. :-(

Jerry, I think someone switched your weather and our weather. I'm happy they are switching it back. I am not a cold weather person. I like our 60 and 70 degree weather. I'm sorry you are going to be cold until spring though.

    Good morning all.

Jerry, I am probably the one who has broken the winter/summer switch. I have been trying everything I can think of to get it to stay on the winter setting but it keeps flipping back to spring/summer here. I have it held in place now with good old duct tape, but I am not sure even that is strong enough to hold it in the winter setting for very long.

The freeze did take out almost everything that was still green in my yard. Now comes the cleaning up after Mother Nature.

Another sodden day for working outside. As we used to say back in the hills; "I'm working from can't see to can't see!" Why do people think they have to drive with their brights on all the time?

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 1°C with wet snow starting to fall. We broke records yesterday with 48mm of rain falling, and my lawn is a lake.
Another good day to stay indoors.
    Have a great day all!

Happy Wednesday morning. Was supposed to have gotten down to near freezing overnight, but there was no frost this morning. It's still sunny and should warm up to the mid-to-upper 60s. I'll be able to uncover the plants this evening for a few days.

Good morning all. Bright and crisp out this morning, 37 and going into the low 60's later. Still no rain and apparently it is official now....next summer will be just as bad if not worse for the state of Texas than last summer and with tighter watering restrictions. Most areas are already restricted to watering not more than once a week, some not more than twice a month.

Netty, did you mean 48cm of rain? That would be about 18 inches, we haven't had that much for the whole of this year.

It was sunny today and no wind so I went out and put the garland and red bows on the front fence. I put some on the deck railing, too. That's probably the extent of my outside decorating.

    Good morning everyone,

Its not as cold here today, and no new snow overnight.....which is good.

I'm off to Toronto shortly, so have a great day everyone.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -1°C and clear. Yesterdays rain turned into snow squalls and there is about 2 cm of snow on the ground..yuck! Hopefully todays sunshine will melt it all quickly.
No Toni, 48mm which is 4.8 cm, just shy 2 inches. That was Toronto's rainfall, but I think we got much more further north. We get rainfall like that during the summer, but that much rain this time of year doesn't usually happen...it usually falls in the form of snow.
Either way, I hope neither form falls today as I am off to do some errands and shopping.
Have a great day all :D

Happy Thursday morning. Another cool and pleasant morning with temps in the 50s. And probably upper 60s for the high.
No rain forecasted until this weekend.
I uncovered the plants that were being protected from the recent freezing temps. They get to enjoy the sunshine for a few days.
