Happy Friday morning! Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day. Clear skies, cool temps to start the day and then highs in the lower 70s.
It would be a perfect day to start on clearing out some flower beds... but I'm meeting two old co-workers/friends for lunch near my office. I sure haven't missed driving there this past week, but since I have to go get my paycheck, and go to either Home Depot or Lowes... might was well visit and eat!
The bathroom "sprucing up" is just about complete. I need to get one piece of trim, a mini-blind... and seems there was something else. Better make sure I have my list with me!

Good morning all. Sunny and getting warmer as I type, should be in the 70's by tomorrow then drop into the 40's from Sunday for a few days.

We are heading out for a long weekend in a couple of hours, our youngest wants to have a New Years Eve party and we are just in the way. Don't mind that at all, it means no cooking, cleaning, laundry for a while.
We will be home Monday afternoon.

Hope everyone has a fun and SAFE New Years celebration, talk to you next year.

Good evening! It was a great day here. It was sunny and 73 degs and I left off my sweatshirt in favor of a t-shirt with a long sleeve shirt over it when needed. We cleaned up outside a bit and then decided to go have an early birthday lunch. Everything was crowded. We should maybe have waited until Monday but we wanted to do something besides go shopping or do yardwork. We had a good time. Now, I'm wondering what to eat when I am still full.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast. We had freezing rain overnight and the whole yard is a sheet of ice. I fell down 3 times on my dog walk this morning!! Was going to take the kids to the mall today, but I'm not going anywhere until all that ice melts!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, a light drizzle has started for this, the last day of 2011. The Robins have found the Holly bush as they have started to eat the hundreds of red berries that contrast with the dark green leaves. Looks like the day will be overcast with rain. It will not however, dampen the pending holiday spirits here as we watch the New Year begins its journey around the globe. :setf_028: :setf_056: Happy New Year everyone. :setf_007:

Happy Saturday morning. Very foggy this morning still. Temps are mild... perhaps lower 50s with highs expected in the 70s again.
I'm happy for this fog and heavy dew.... means the grass, trees won't be so dry which is a GREAT thing since I'm sure lots of folks will be shooting off fireworks. I don't buy them. But I do enjoy watching big shows that are put on by organizations like the fire dept. Happy New Year everyone!

Good New Years Morning all! Starting out 2012 with 2°C and overcast skies. I was just trying to decide on resolutions for 2012 and it looks like I'm going to be losing 15 pounds this year ;)
Have a great day all, and a prosperous 2012 :)

I laid down to watch Tv. And in no time I missed the new year coming in. But Very windy here in Iowa-gust up to 60 mph. You would have thought I had been drinking. Tripped on Maddie Mae. Who started playing on steps last few days. Not my favorite cat right now.

Happy Sunday morning and happy new year! We have sunny skies and it's a bit breezy. I think the temps will be in the 60s but getting down to near freezing in the morning. So, time to cover the plants again.
Off to my brothers for dinner later on... his wife is an excellent cook. I'm hungry already!

Good morning everyone, I trust that everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed this New Year's morning, no? Toothpicks holding the eyes open?. I think I can still hear some party animals snoring. Perhaps we should let them sleep in.
A frost covered brown flowers of 2011 this morning. Last year the flowers were nestled in a blanket of the white stuff. O.K. by me. I wonder if I should mention that I have not taken the s_ _ _ s_ _ _ _ _ out of the tool shed? I think I will check the bird feeders and make sure the birds start the New Year out with full stomachs.

    Happy New Year everyone,

    Jerry

Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast with occasional snow squalls.
We spent a lovely New Years Day with family from my husbands side. Today I'm going to relax before I start the final holiday clean up. It seems like I just put all the decorations up and now it's time to put them all away again.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, day 2 of the new year, the sun is sparkling on the morning dew and a dozen birds have invaded the feeder which only has 8 perches for clients. It is a scene of musical perches as the flapping of wings dislodges goldfinch in mid meal.

Good morning! It's sunny and not very warm yet. Only going to 50's. It didn't freeze last night and only a light frost. But, it's supposed to be colder tonight.
We got up early and met friends for breakfast (for my birthday). No plans for the day, whatever happens to come our way.
