Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and clear. The full moon was most impressive this morning. Today things get back to normal ... the kids have all gone back to school and peace returns to the house :D

Happy Monday morning. The moon rise was really pretty last night... except the clouds moved in and obscured it. Those clouds brought us some rain overnight. No much at my house, but the fields I pass on my commute to work had standing water in them and the ditches were full. Heavy rains are headed this way. Sure hope it makes it over to my house.
It's darker outside now than it was at 6:30am! Come on rain! (No tornados please).

Good morning all. It rained overnight here a wonderful slow steady rain that has deposited almost 1 inch in my rain gauge with the promise of more today and tomorrow. Could be some wintry mix out west of here, around Lubbock. Still no drought stopper rain, we need about two months of this kind of rain for that.
But the first my yard has seen since the whoppin' 1/2 inch back on Dec 19.

Daughter's bedroom is finished, she is a pain the back when it comes to being a construction supervisor!! Course, she did the majority of the work but she just didn't let up except to eat. And we couldn't go sit in the living room to rest while she was on her knees cleaning and scraping the floor without feeling very guilty. We are all sore today.

Happy Tuesday morning. A cooler day instore for us...the high might reach 60F. Still cloudy but no more rain in the forecast for a few days. If we got 4 more storms like yesterday's... we might be back up to regular rainfall totals! :-D

Good morning everyone, the soothsayers of weather have us watching Thursday for a system that may leave some s_ _ _ . Given a decent amount of time, their predictions tend to change. Otherwise it's just nippy with temps just below 32°F.

    Jerry

P.S. Houston weather gurgled yesterday, the weather channel has all the splashing videos.

    Good morning all.

    I'm moving to Midland, Texas http://www.reporternews.com/news/2012/j ... ches-snow/

But it would be a temporary move since their summers are normally hotter than ours being about a 6 hour drive west of here. And yes after driving for 6 hours you would still be in Texas. ;)

Almost 2 inches of rain on my garden, total for the last two days. Just overcast and nippy outside but there will be a cold snap in a couple of days with temps down into the 20's.

Got a chuckle from Toni's post:
"But it would be a temporary move since their summers are normally hotter than ours being about a 6 hour drive west of here. And yes after driving for 6 hours you would still be in Texas."
I'm reminded of a saying we used to bandy about which went, 'If you start from Brownsville, TX driving to anywhere in the contiguous U.S., when you get out of Texas you'll be halfway there!'

It rained a lot here on Monday but today was just cloudy. The weather channel said sunny and 70 tomorrow and Thursday it will be cloudy and 51. Up and down weather just gets my sinus's all upset.
Our road was wet and muddy yesterday and today. Going up and down it adds two inches to our tires. Once we get on the highway the mud flies off but coming back down it builds up again. Today we went up and came back down going sideways back and forth. But, we made it both ways and didn't get stuck anywhere.
