Good aftermorning all on this mild/chilly 21st December. Wise words there from Richard and ones I'm all too aware of :) Food is good and company is even better. This gnome is overindulging.

    Current temps: 8 deg C / 46 deg F

    Have a terrific Thursday!

Good morning, everyone. Rain rain rain here. Since yesterday. Got my new 100 mm macro lens yesterday. I'm excited and can't go outside cuz it's raining! I'll find something in the house to shoot.

G'Morning folks. It's a comfortably cool morning at the beach, today.

Predicted high in the low to mid 60's, not bad for the first day of winter,
but it's looking very overcast, which matches my mood.

I've had to call the vet's office this morning to make an appointment for later this morning.
My poor old geezer kitty has had squamous cell carcinoma on his poor little nose for some time.
It's done a lot of damage, and he's becoming uncomfortable.
I was hoping to get through Christmas without having to have him put to sleep,
but I called the vet to find out their schedule, and discovered that today
will be the last day they are in the office until after new year's day.
    I'm afraid to try to wait that long, so . . . :'( :'( :'(

Good Morning/afternoon everyone -- 53 and cloudy here this morning. Drizzily rain last night and expecting some rain today. Still going to be in the 60's--and this is suppose to be the first day of winter?? ZuZu so sorry to hear about your kitty--sad time for you. Drinking my coffee and then I have to be off again.

Zuzu, I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. This is such a difficult time for you, I know. As hard as it is, we are honor bound to do the right thing by our animal companions.

When the love that lights up in your eyes goes out
It will come back to life somehow, somewhere in heaven.
Man or beast, who love each other with such tender sympathy,
Can never die or be extinct forever.

    There is an old belief
    that on some solemn shore
    Beyond the sphere of grief
Old friends shall meet once more

Thanks, my friends. I really do appreciate your support (hubby is out of town, of course).
I've come so close to picking up the phone, to cancel this appointment,
hoping we might still have a few more days, but you've said it so well, Jan,
as much as I dread the loss of my old friend, I don't think I can risk it.
I really don't want him to suffer, and I fear that is what will happen.

Pat, that is so beautiful, thank you so much.

Good afternoon all. Another overcast and mild day here in Southern Ontario.

I sure am having a bad week. This morning I had to take my 3 year old to the ER as she fell and hit her head really hard. She gave me quite a scare, but thankfully she is OK. So after we came home we put up the Christmas tree and now we are just waiting for her brother and sister to get home from school so we can decorate it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty Zuzu. My thoughts are with you.

Good aftermorning all 22st December, 3 days away from the big one. Off to do some planting at our grandparent's grave soon, it's chilly out so I'd better wrap up.

Netty it's not your week  Glad to hear your daughter is ok, that must have been quite a shock.

Shhhhhh now don't tell anybody will you but we have NO rain, NO wind and it's NOT minus anything!!!!! :-? Such a pity I have to waste a nice day like this going food shopping though isn't it?

Laura told me that she found a bunch of women in a supermarket this morning fighting over the last few nets of Brussel sprouts. Why I ask myself?????

Good morning all. And what is wrong with the site this morning? I got no notifications in my inbox and had to laboriously hunt down this morning's posts.
Richard, we almost drowned yesterday. And they tell us there is more coming today. I have hundreds of crawfish chimneys in my front yard.
Eileen, I have never been able to figure out why anyone would eat a brussel sprout. Ghastly things.
