Good Saturday morning all. Currently -11°C and sunny. The oddest thing just happened...my teenage daughter just asked me to take her to the second hand shop. She has always HATED the second hand store and never wanted to 'wear other peoples trash'. I guess now that she makes her own money and buys her own clothes it sounds good. sniff...my baby is growing up... sniff
Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, another light snow is dusting the area again, with more single digit numbers on the way, inside where it is warm is the place to be.

Good morning all. Woke up to mid-30's this morning, windy and clear as a bell. Today will be an inside day, the cold wind would bring on a sinus headache in about 10 minutes if I went out there.

Nothing in the animal trap this morning but I did see yet another different cat scoping out the birds around the feeders out front....so I know there are at least 4 more to be caught.
I am thinking that Monday when the second 10 day loan of the trap expires, I will see if I can get a permanent extension on the loan

Happy Saturday morning. We had a very light drizzle overnight... not even enough to measure in the rain gauge. But water is water and we'll take whatever we can get. Temps are warm... the low was in the mid 60s and it's supposed to get up to mid70s. Still a little cloudy out, but appears to be clearing.
After a tend to the seeds and seedlings, I'll head outside to get some compost in the new beds.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -7°C and overcast. We shoveled off a good size skating rink at the front of the property yesterday, so today we are going to USE it.
Toni-why is there so many CATS in your neighborhood?
Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Another mild night with warm temps of mid 60s. There's only a 20% chance of rain today... but it's overcast and breezy. I know that the rain would be welcomed, but I'm sure hoping for another day like yesterday. I had so much fun! Raked leaves out the beds, pull the weeds and applied compost. Nothing like coming in for the evening with dirty hands, feet and clothes!
So... if it doesn't rain, I might be able to talk Hubby into building the brick flowerbeds for one of my aunts. If not... then I'm going to get out the weedeater... yep some places look like they could use some mowing too!

Good day everyone, the birds will need ice skates on the bird-bath. The temps today will not get above freezing. Tomorrow will be a Zamboni day for the bird-bath with the temps rising to the mid 40's.

Good afternoon all. Already 73 and going up upper 70's before day is done....I will gladly trade temps with anyone north of me.

Netty, there are so many cats running loose around here because the people who live around here don't know how to properly take care of them. I would guess that they have never been inside a veterinarians office or even know what a can of cat food or a litter box is for. They get the cat and leave it to fend for itself. So I will be catching them probably for as long as we live here just to keep my yard from smelling like cat pee.
We are lucky they keep their dogs in their own yard.

Happy Monday morning. Still warm out... 60s for the lows and mid-to-upper 70s for the highs. No rain in the forecast until Tuesday and Wednesday... LOTS on Wednesday. Bet you all will be hearing about more flooding in Houston.

Good morning all. Light winds today compared to the 40-50 mph steady winds of yesterday that brought west Texas into our area....literally....this all started out around Lubbock and moved over us about 5:00 pm
This was close to sunset just a few miles south of me yesterday
Remember the Kansas song Dust in the Wind? Kansas the 1970's rock band, not the US state ;)

The smell of dust is still pretty strong in the house. I lived in Lubbock during several dust storms and I know for a fact that it seeps in through every gap around doors and windows and gets on everything.

We have a good chance of some nice rain Tues and Wed.

Good morning! Sunny this morning but cool. Yesterday afternoon it was 81 deg. here. I dug around the tomato patch and planted peas, aurgula, pak choy, raddicio and radishes. Today I am going to plant lettuce and mesclun and dug up the spinach from the winter garden and plant some more. May dig a new garden spot in the front, too.

Good day everyone, it is a cloudy overcast day, a good day for inside projects. There are so many projects.....I will sit and think about which one I want to do. :)

    Jerry

P.S. While I'm sitting here I think I will read this book I have not finished. Which reminds me.......
