Happy Thursday morning. Another overcast/foggy start to the day. And it's going to be a hot one... mid80s for the high! I should have worn shorts today. But...the highs for the next few days will only be in the mid60s. I think I like that better for the end of February instead of 80s.

Happy Friday morning! Something woke me up at 3:30 this morning. What they heck? Rain and LOTS of wind. And it's still windy and is supposed to be that way all day and temps should be in mid 60s. Good day to be at work I guess.... especially since it's payday!

Good morning everyone, it is snowing here at present and at 2.713 flakes per hour the excited weather people should expect a total accumulation of .00000047 inches when the storm is over. Otherwise, someone at a recent meeting reported their tulips and daffodils were up about 3 inches. I checked mine and they had enough sense to stay in the ground. The see-saw temperatures have the flowers confused, only the crocus have engaged in a reconnaissance mission. Packets of seeds are accumulating as the postal service repeatedly stuffs the mailbox with goodies. The last frost was January hmmmmm............The urge to experiment is overwhelming, I have called for volunteers to populate a pot of soil, to be placed on the deck. The houseplants in the windows will report any activity. I wonder if I have a Spring fever? It is a popular affliction this time of season in the wilds of New England. The houseplants are excited!!

    Good morning all.
Cheryl, we got a lot of wind but absolutely no rain last night. Time to check my neighbors yard for windblown travelers.

Gosh, I am almost afraid to let Jerry know what the temperature was down here yesterday...he might develop the vapors.

81 degrees for a high yesterday. Back to normal Feb temps for the next several days, that would be 50-60 deg range. I can work in the yard for so many more hours in that weather than what we had yesterday.
More of the Daffs out back are in bloom, the Dutch Masters are almost 6 inches tall, my one and only Foxglove plant has a bloom stalk almost 18 inches tall (but that's been growing for he last 6 months)
And all sorts of plants are breaking dormancy with new bright green leaves.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -3°C and snowing. It is also windy and feels much colder. It seems winter weather has finally started - just 23 days before spring starts! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. It's overcast, breezy and bit cool.... in the 50s. Supposed to only reach mid 60s. But as long as it's not raining, I'm planning on being outdoors playing in the dirt!

Trying to light a fire under the missus and get her moving. Want to visit a year round farmers market. I'll be looking for potential buyers of some of my produce. Garlic, Horseradish, various herbs, maybe Groundcherrys (aka cape gooseberrys) Will be shopping for a tiller today too. Temps currently upper 20's F. Mid 30's for the high.

Good day everyone, the birds are flying sideways as winds up to 50 mph sweep through the area. With the temps in the low 40's, it is chilly willy out there. I will stay in with the plants. The Rudbeckia has volunteered for the 'mild weather in February no more frost experiment'. I would take a picture but......... We will monitor any activity from the warm confines of the house while the Rudbeckia has second thoughts about volunteering.

Happy Sunday morning! And there's not a cloud in the sky! It's still a little cool and probably won't get any warmer than lower-60s. Today's main project... TOTALLY clean my truck inside and out. And the aquarium could use a cleaning too... I think I'll put that off until tomorrow.
Yesterday I cleaned up an area under the pecan tree to plant some Coral Bells. And tossed all of the stuff that didn't germinate into one of the flower beds. Who knows... maybe they'll sprout out there?

Good morning everyone, yesterday's gale force winds that toppled trees and downed power-lines have diminished to a blustery 20-30 mph. Birds are now starting to fly straight again. The day is sunny and clear but the wind chill pushes the high 30's temperature to make it feel like it is in the 20's brrr! The Rudbeckia is not happy:-(
