Good morning everyone, winter can only hold out for just so long before the warmer temperatures again dominate the daily march toward Spring. The long-range forecast has today's mid 30's temperatures climbing into the low 60's by mid-week. :)

good afternoon!..not a sunny day, but at least the wind died down..had to run an errand this morning & got a quick look at the yard...my outside table is toast (mostly), i might be able to salvage it for one more year, just glad the glass top didn't break (was leanining up against the back of the house). saw my daffs & tulips starting to come out of the ground..which means good fun to come!!! next nice day will get the fire pit set up so i can start burning twigs & stalks and other dried debris that has made it's way into the yard....things are definately looking up! :-D

Happy Sunday night! I stuck to my vow of not going anywhere near my truck today. I didn't even touch it until around 5pm when I realized there was still tools in the back. I spent the day watering and weeding and planted a few seedlings and generally just hung around outdoors enjoying the beautiful sunny, 75F degree weather. No one around but the dog (Hubby's out of town for a while). Oh wait... I think I hear the foot-stomps of a "dragon". :) Oh well... it's been such a pleasant day, a visit from the big brother is just icing on the cake.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -16°C and sunny. That is a lot colder than we have been used to, but Wednesday's forecast high is +13°C! All this freezing and thawing cant be good for my plants ... I hope I didn't lose too many this year. Have a good day all :)

Happy Monday evening. We had another gorgeous day! Temps were in the high 40s this morning. Sunshine galore and the high reached the mid 70s. I brought some offshoots of my Century Plant into the office to see if anyone wanted them. Three different co-workers jumped at the offer. And one of them brought in some lilies to give away too (naturally I took a few!). My boss' son has a side company delivering locally grown organic veggies. He shared some of that with everyone too! And they just started delivering milk. I hate milk, so he brought me a quart of the chocolate milk. It tasted like melted chocolate ice cream! YUM!
And to top it off, I decided to leave work a couple of hours early. I stopped by one of my aunts to bring her some photos. She had her Primose Jasmine cut completely to the ground because it was covering up her gas meter. So I went and pulled up 2 big sections with roots.
Sure wish all Mondays were this good! :stew2:

Good day everyone, the cooler air will be gone by Wednesday as the Jetstream heads north and we get a good taste of spring. Maybe the snow will disappear.

Good evening! One more day to get things dug and planted. Then, according to weather.com we are going to have 4 days of gulf laden moisture. That is translated to lots of rain. I think we will stay home. It was nice today but we had to search out two new tires for our truck and get them installed.
How did tires get so costly? I think we'll have to stay home a lot more.

Good morning all. A chilly 27* here this morning. Full moon on the rise (Thurs. night,) then it will warm up. Painting seagulls and waiting for the sun to rise. Sure wish I could sleep more then 3-4 hours each night.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. Temperature going on the rise here too...a high of 13°C tomorrow. It must be spring...the red winged blackbirds are back. The yard was full of bird activity this morning ... it sure was nice! Spring cleaning continues with my 8 year olds room today. I'm sure there are loads of clothes that no longer fit her. I have a friend with 2 young daughters so she will probably end up with a few bags.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday evening. Another gorgeous day around here... but a bit cloudy and breezy. Still highs in the uppper 70s can't be beat. They are calling for rain here the next 4-5 days. We could use it, but please let me have at least one sunny day over the weekend? :stew2:

Good evening all. I spent soooo much time out in the front garden today, got lots of plants in the ground and some divided, moved and some cleaning up done.
Very windy, way past breezy! and a little chilly but totally a great day to play in the dirt.

I certainly hope we get the rain they are forecasting for the next 5 days. The part of the front yard I need to start working on is hard as a rock from no moisture, high wind and low humidity.
