Happy Wednesday night. Well... I played hookie from work today. Hey... I deserved it! :D
There was another 1/4 inch of rain in the gauge and the sun didn't break through until around 1pm. But by 3pm, it was a beautiful sunny day. Soggy... but beautiful. Temps got almost up to 75F.
It was supposed to get down to the 40s tonight, so I brought in some seedlings and one of my favorite plants. But later on... they reported it would only be in the 50s. Oh well... guess they get to spend a "free" night indoors.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and sunny. This is going to be the last day of summer temperatures and then back to seasonal. We are breaking all kinds of weather records. It's Thursday, so I'm off to do my errands and shopping. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. I Love good surprises and it has been sooooo long since we have received a surprise rain fall that this is a double pleasure....woke up to a slow, steady, intermittently heavy drizzle this morning. About 1/4th of an inch in the rain gauge but looking at the local radar there could be another quarter inch before the system moves on up into Oklahoma.

I already had planned on not working in the backyard today to give my back a rest, now I don't have to feel guilty about not being out there with all that work waiting for me.

Good day everyone, temperatures reached into the mid 80's as inside projects occupied the lion's share of the day. Tomorrow I may work on the lawnmower.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 12°C and overcast. Not as warm today, but still above the norm of 5°C. My last day of being home alone as next week I'm back to work. I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest :)

happy friday!! there is a nice refreshing breeze today. it has been very warm for march, shattered numerous records. i watched my crocuses wilt under the heat the other day...and i swear, in one week's time, the plum trees have broken bud and are just starting to flower. it certainly is an interesting spring. we're supposed to cool down a bit and have rain this weekend, i hope so. will probably have to cut the grass next week. have a great weekend!!!!!!

Penny, the Jack Russell Terrorist has refused me permission to sleep in today, she's had me up since 4:30. We had just enough rain yesterday, to preclude gardening activities today. Received asparagus crowns from Shumway. Taking Monday off work, hope to get them planted then. Have seedlings of Kohlrabi, Tomato's (amish paste and beefsteak), Late Dutch Flat cabbage, bell peppers, cayenne, jalapeno, serrano, and a Korean pepper that I don't know. Got the seeds from a Korean lady down the road. She makes kimchee for me and asked if I would grow her some peppers from seed that she got form Korea. All seedlings doing well. I may even have a couple of tomato and pepper to give to friends. Sugar snaps are up. If I could get the missus out of bed, we'd go for breakfast. I have to find something to do today, so I won't go stir crazy.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 8°C and windy. We have had to re-light the wood stove, but it was a small miracle that we were able to let it burn out in March. Today I get to spend the day driving around and looking at Prom dresses. I would really rather do just about anything else, but my daughter is very excited so off I go.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. And it's a beaut! Nothing but sunshine. Temps are in the 60s right not but it's supposed to be in the md80s. And that's the forecast for the next few days. Today, I'm going to build the a shelf to replace the old blue one that goes in my water corner. Well... I'm at least going to give it a try on my own.

Good day everyone, with the temps in the mid 50's, outside yard cleaning will tale up most of the day. I noticed the rhubarb pie is emerging from it's winter slumber.:)

Against my own inclinations, I went to work in a couple of the flower beds today. The Creeping Charlie's plans for world domination have been thwarted. At least for now. Penny makes a 'wonderful' garden helper. Advantage of my ground level position was taken, my glasses were covered with nose prints.

What a lovely day! It could pass for June.I have so many things I could do & I just want to sit & listen to the birds. One thing I will do is plant my tomato seeds.I can't get over how thick my tulips are. They have gotten crowded into other flowers. It is supposed to be cooler tomorrow so I will be putting plants I have sitting out under cover. Not taking any chances.
