Good day everyone, cool temperatures and a mostly sunny day saw more beds cleaned from their winter slumber. A few hostas have not emerged, new ones from last year, time will tell. Looks like there may be two rhubarb pies. :) I may have to get the hose out , we have not had any rain for several weeks.

Happy Good Friday morning. A beautiful start to the day with temps in the mid60s and the high is expected to reach 85F. And nothing but sunshine for the next few days. Only a half-day of work today and the long weekend begins!

Good morning all. Comfy cool outside, low 60's nighttime and mid-upper 70's daytime...this is what spring is supposed to be.

I have bunches of plants to move from no longer shady areas out back to the north shade bed...we had trees trimmed last fall so there is a lot more sun out back than before. And now that all of the Hostas in that bed have poked their noses above ground I know where I can and can not plant...at least I think they are all up.

Good day everyone, preparations for Easter dinner are well on their way. Achoo!! Dusting, cleaning and polishing. I would rather be cleaning the flower beds. :)

Happy Saturday to you all! We are now in the "might be a freeze-warning" (z7TN) days of spring. Seems the jet stream has moved south for a while, who knows how long or how cool.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. Off to a big one day sale at the Independent Grocer and then home and out to my gardens. I can finally get to the rock garden at the front of the property without wading through water. It needs a clean up BAD! Have a great day all :)

Frosty start to the day. Ribs and chickens are in the smoker. Drying winter onions and cilantro. I wonder how smoked garlic would taste? Experiment time!

Happy Saturday evening. I don't think the day could have been more perfect. I believe the low was in the low 60s and the high was in the mid 80s. LOTS of sunshine!
First off, I slept in until around 8:30. Then I got all the mowing and edging done. Dug out a few things that did not survive the winter. Then they got replaced with seedlings that have been anxiously waiting to get their feet in the dirt. While everything in the front yard was getting a good slow soaking, I started on making by back door area look more presentable. Then played fetch with the dawg. filled up the bird feeders. Fixed a quick supper and now it's time to relax with a tall cold adult beverage. I think I'll get out the foot tub and soak my feet. They don't hurt... they are just filthy!!! :stew2:

Good day everyone, the coolish day was spent preparing for Easter tomorrow. Tomorrow should be sunny and in the 50's, happy Easter everyone.

Good Sunday morning all, and Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny was here last night and the kids have already found all the hidden eggs.
Currently -3°C and sunny. I got the rock garden cleaned up yesterday and the island bed weeded. Today I'll try to get the back weeded and thinned between basting the turkey ;)
    Have a great day all!
