    Goooood Morrrrrninggg everyone. Finished burying second half of barrel for horseradish, transplanted some rhubarb. Finishing ribs and chicken in oven, roasted/smoked garlic experiment was a failure this time. Further experimentation will follow. Sun is just beginning to chase the clouds away. High expected to be 63 F. Still have to water asparagus crowns.

    Friends coming by later for lie telling and beer drinking. Might be some card playing too.

    Edit, I may have to mow the lawn too.

    Happy Easter evening everyone. What a beautiful day we had again. Temps were from low 60s to mid80s. And just enough puffy white clouds. I managed to get some work done on the back porch area before it was time to go and spend time with family. And, I have tomorrow off from work! Think I'll go visit a few more of the aunts.... unless I get to distracted playing in the garden! ;)

    Good Monday morning all. Currently 2°C, overcast and very windy. NOT the kind of day to rake leaves! I hope to have an early day at work today. Have a great day all :)

    I can't believe I did this. I put some tiny tomato seedlings outside a couple days ago & forgot them! i think they were out 2 nights. One night was cold enough to freeze thin ice on birdbath 10 feet away from tomatoes.They weren't hurt a bit.Such luck(':-o');

    Good day everyone, the day after Easter was taken up by appointments. Temperatures this weekend will be inviting for garden work.

    Good Tuesday morning all. Currently just 2°C, windy and overcast. It's getting darker like we might get some rain too. I hope so...it is getting very dry. I went to my favorite greenhouse yesterday for seeds and came out with an Easter Lily and some produce. Thanks Tony! Have a great day all :)

    Got to go uncover plants. Got old blankets ,coats you name it to keep frost off them. Not sure just how cold it got. But to play in dirt will dress warm.

    Happy Tuesday morning. Back to work after a long weekend. I kept busy all weekend just playing in the garden. The weather was/is gorgeous. Lows in the 60s and highs in the mid-to-upper 80s. Plenty of sunshine! We could use a little rain... by barrel is almost empty.

    Happy Tues everyone. It is chilly out today,but completely normal for April here. It could be much worse. In 1973 we had a blizzard. School cancelled for 2 days. Nearby recorded 20 inches. We probably got 15.I remember it because I had coldframes full of plants & they were unscathed!I think I put a light bulb in for warmth.
    Last night I brought my seedlings in & am going to leave them in today. Hard on my back to arrange those trays.

    Happy Wednesday morning. We're stuck in a very pleasant weather pattern lately.... 60-85 and sunshine. No rain in the forecast until the beginning of next week.
