Good day everyone, the sun is shining, the snow is melting and the cookies are done. The woodpeckers are making holes in branches and the frogs have broken out their snow shovels. All further snow activity except melting has been cancelled.
I think I will germinate some seeds just for the fun if it. Perhaps some mystery seeds. Sounds like a plan.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 7°C and raining. The snow is disappearing quickly. I saw the first Robin this morning and a small flock of Red Winged Blackbirds, which can only mean one thing ... spring is on it's way! :) :)
March break this week so I won't make any plans until the kids get up. Have a great day all!

Happy Monday morning. Now I remember why I hate this time change... I do not like getting out of bed when it's still dark!
Oh well... at least traffic was light because of spring break, so my dark commute wasn't too bad. :-D
We got just over 1/2 inch of rain yesterday. It was much appreciated... especially by the newly planted flowers. One rain barrel is full to the brim and the other is 2/3rds full.
And speaking of the time change.. now that there's more daylight, it means that I need to get back to my 2-mile walk routine when I get home from work.

Good afternoon all, bitterly cold wind blowing through today. I pity any stock in the fields and the newly opened daffodils.
Have a great start to your week!

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 7°C and overcast. More rain in the forecast for this afternoon. The snow is melting very quickly and I can almost see my gardens! Day 2 of March break, I wonder what the kids want to do today?
Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Had to cover the tender plants last night because we got down to freezing yet again. But it's supposed to get up to the mid 70s this afternoon.
This wacky weather has the poor plants confused... and now I think it has given me a cold. :setc_041:

Good evening! It was sunny and 70 degs. today. I took some pictures and sat outside on the swing awhile this afternoon. Tomorrow, dr says, we are going to buy some seeds and maybe some plants. The weather.com says two days of 70 deg. weather and then 8 days of 80 deg. weather so maybe it's time to think of planting something.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 2°C and cloudy. With the mild weather we have been having, there is a lot of birds that have returned from the south. Robins, Starlings, Red Winged Blackbirds and geese. It's nice to hear them singing! I spent a few hours out raking last falls gravel back into the driveway. As the snow melts, I am sure I will find more. Also bought some seeds yesterday for my veggie garden.
HAve a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. I should have stayed in bed this morning. What a yicky day I'm having and it's not even 9 o'clock yet.
Going to get this project finished and take the rest of the day off work.
But... it is sunny and should get up to the mid 70s today... that's something to look forward to.

    Morning everyone,

Its cold here this morning, windchills here, supposed to be cold all weekend.
I was in Toronto most of the day yesterday, and Brad and i decided to drive down and get Kait lastnight instead of today, left at 4:30 and got home right at 10. Kind of nice that we dont have to do it today.

I'm off at 9 to get my manicure done, and then have some shopping to do, as well as want to get my fridge cleaned out today, since i am down to Toronto again tomorrow.

    Enjoy your day everyone.
