Happy Thursday morning. Same weather pattern... mid70s to 90F with 20% chance of rain. Water hoses have been getting a good work-out.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast. It's going to be another HOT one today with chance of thunderstorms. Off to work soon.
I found out yesterday that a good friend of mine was in a car accident. He was seriously injured and may be paralyzed from the chest down. He will be having surgery today. I will be very distracted today until I hear some news so I think it is going to be a very long day. Never take things for granted as things can change in the blink of an eye. Have a good day all :)

Happy Friday morning. I ran into a couple small showers on my way into work. I doubt it was enough to even measure. But it has been cloudy all week, so at least the sun hasn't baked everything.

Yesterday evening we had severe storm warnings & I got very scared.Called hubby home but thankfully it blew over & only half inch of rain & no wind.
Today it is just gloomy & windy & nasty out there.I'm sure more rain at any minute.

I thought it was going to rain again. To get my mail would have to drive 90 miles RT .And when seen all the flooded field was shocked. Closing lot of more highways. All this heading to Iowa City.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 22°C and overcast. It is a hazy morning! My friend didn't end up getting surgery, thankfully. He is starting to get feeling in his legs. I hope he continues to improve. I have a ton of grass to cut and cleaning to do. I guess which one gets done depends on if it rains. Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Where has my energy gone? I just got out of bed! Yikes! There's a slight chance of rain today, so I better get out there and get the mowing done. There's a better chance of rain tomorrow, so I need to get the feeding done too. Hubby's brother & his girlfriend are supposed to be here this afternoon and stay 'til tomorrow. There goes another weekend with people invading my home... but at least these are welcomed and don't have brats coming with them. :-D

Dont have any shade plants for my woodland plot and Im trying to watch my spending. I really should get around to cleaning up the front bed, its so crowded, the Black eyed susans are taking over o.o Ive already dug up and potted 11 bits, but seriously, you cant even tell O.O Anybody want some? heh...

Good afternoon all. The midweek weather was great; today is not amazing. However next week is promised to be a 'scorcher', at least by our standards!
    Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone, I guess Summer has arrived. With 2 days over 90, gardening in the shade has its benefits. The frogs are taking more frequent dips in the pond and the wild turkeys are making daily foraging trips past the bird feeders. Flowers are popping open faster than I can count :). Ice cold water is a relaxing treat while enticing the turkeys closer with computer generated calls. As the sun moves through the yard, gardening shifts to cooler spots. Only the weeds complain.

Good afternoon all. The little chance of rain we had has cleared our area and is heading into Arkansas...maybe tomorrow.

Got up early this morning to devastate some trash trees and weeds at the back of the backyard. Moved an Abelia and Blaze rose first. This is the beginning of turning at least half of the back yard into a work area so Randy can restore his 1970 Dodge Pickup. And it's taking a lot of pressure off of me, I can't keep up with all that yard anymore and do the front and side yards too.

Lunch at Tin Star and then to Super Cuts to get our hairs trimmed. Randy is letting his hair grow as per my request, mine is also getting very long and we both found we needed a de-shagging....besides we each had a $5 off coupon to use. ;)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 20°C and overcast with a breeze. I got some of the grass cut and a few of the gardens filled in with annuals. I can not find, in any greenhouse anywhere, pink profusion Zinnia's! Or any dwarf Zinnia's for that matter. I NEED a greenhouse so I can start my own annuals next year. Rant over LOL
House work, grass to cut and 20 cedar trees to plant today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone, another delightful day has us in its grasp, at least till the temperature steps out of the 80's range. One of the benefits of shade is that there is always somewhere in the garden to have fun, terrorize weeds and grow new stuff. Yesterdays weeds can attest to that. The time machine just had another seed sprout. :)
