Good afternoon all. It's absolutely scorching weather here, very easy to get a sunburn especially with Irish skin. I'll be staying in the shade today!
    Have a great day all!

Good morning! Sunny and warm today. I went out and picked some beans and lettuce, one carrot and two red pear shaped tomatoes.
No rain here. I watered the seeds that I planted yesterday.

Good morning all. Today our weather beings a downward spiral into summer heat...aka "how many days left until the first frost?"
Should be in the 100+ range by next Friday and stay there for a few days, only to be repeated many times over the next 3 months.

Happy Saturday afternoon. Had to go help Hubby's sister first thing this morning and then made it home in time to do the weed-eating before it really got too hot... which is right about now. So it's time to just not do much until this evening. And there's really not much to do, except maybe more weed pulling.
I got a new "toy" the other day... a tree pruner/pole saw. So yesterday, I trimmed a few branches to give a few plants a little more light... and to keep them from breaking and landing right on top of some of my favs.
Watch out branches... I got something for y'all! :stew2:

Happy Sunday morning. Already 85F out this morning. UGH... 100F temps next week... bye bye Spring. We did luck out and get a little rain yesterday (half-inch).
I just have to laugh at myself this morning...
I went outside, still in my jammies, to take a photo. Dug up one plant that just wasn't doing well and put it in a pot. Moved one plant that wasn't doing well out front and put in that one's place. Decided to spread the rest of a bag of compost to things that look a little "puny". Now one hour later... I'm drenched in sweat, up to my elbows in compost and still in my jammies! :D
That's probably the extent of gardening today... have a meeting at church this afternoon... plus they are selling fried chicken dinners.

Good morning everyone, the rain has ended and designs for the ark have been put on hold. The rain total 3.18 was not too bad and the lawn needed it. A new flowerbed was laid out, so the features are up in the air. The next few days are picture perfect, outside work is next.

Good morning all. It rained overnight...did any of the weather guys tell me it would, I don't remember. The red float in the large rain gauge that is supposed to rise as the rain amount increases was stuck to the bottom this morning so from a distance it looked like we had only gotten a whoppin' 1/4th inch. Then I noticed large puddles in the street and yard, looked that gauge again and we actually got 1.5 inches!!!! Enough to reach the soil under the mulch so that's a really gooooooood thing.

Today is oldest daughters birthday. 46 years ago I was not feeling as good as I do today!! She weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long. She and her boys are coming over later this afternoon for supper and ice cream cake and presents.

Starting slow with both dogs holding me down as I watch the 'Sunday Morning' show. Need to make the trip to HD to finish the screening of the yards maintenance area. Soon...I will move off this comfy chair.

Happy Monday morning. Yesterday was a drizzly kinda day... but I'll take the almost one-inch of rain. There's only a slight chance of rain today and the high is expected to be in the mid90s. Yep... back to work.... blah blah blah :-D

Good morning! We didn't get anything but thunder yesterday. dr got me up early enough that I could pull the weeds out of the tomato beds and he watered them good. He also changed the water in the birds bowls and tub. They like new water but they wanted their breakfast so we stopped. It was foggy and cool for awhile. Now the sun is up and the fog is gone and it will get hot again. Have a good day!

Good Morning All, Raining again here. We need to pick berries again. I guess we will get wet getting it done. Then I will plant all my flowerbeds even if it is still raining. There is a huge batch of rain coming again. We got 9 quarts picked and it started pouring so we quit for a while.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 14°C with rain and dark skies. We had a huge amount of rain overnight and there is a huge lake in the yard, complete with ducks and rapids! Hope it drains quickly.
Have a great day all :)
