Good Friday morning all. Currently 24°C with a chance of thunderstorms. I sure hope we get some ... after a week of extreme heat my gardens need water! Off to work where I will spend the day watering too. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday . . . 71 degrees here in the foothills of NC. The temperature is supposed to reach 90 degrees with isolated T-storms. Have folded a load of laundry, and have a 9 o'clock appointment this morning. I hope to get back in time to spread a little mulch, and do some trimming before it gets too hot. Blessings for Your Day!

Good afternoon all. The heatwave continues here. We haven't seen rain in 2 weeks now. The cattle are starting to feel the heat, we had to bring three of them inside today. Phew!
    Have a great Friday all!

Happy Friday morning. Going to be getting close to 100F again today with just a slight chance of rain. I guess me and the water hoses will be spending a lot of time together this weekend.

Making records. Zero rain for the month of July. Guess it hasn't happened before for western Washington. Enjoying the sun.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently just 18°C and sunny. The week long heat wave has finally ended! We had some severe thunderstorms which broke the hear and provided some much needed rain. The only problem is that it came with high winds and I have a lot of garden cleanup to do. Knowing everything is well watered is a relief though. I finally got to pick 3 zucchinis last night and stuffed them for dinner. Yummy! Have a great day everyone :)

Happy Saturday morning. A storm blew through yesterday... and I mean it literally blew through! Lots of branches down. All sorts of stuff was blown around including plants. I had to stake up several in the hopes that they will regain their strength. We did get 1.5 inches of rain out of it. And I think it's supposed to rain again today. As much as we need it, I hope it stays away...or at least isn't a pounding rain... my poor plants could use a quiet day.
And since the ground is pretty wet... no mowing today.
Off to town to see if I can find a replacement pump/filter for my aunt's aquarium. With the storm yesterday, the power was out. And now her filter just won't work anymore.

Lake Fair in full swing. Hubby volunteers at the alumni food booth. I'll be getting ready for next Saturday's neighborhood garden walk. :stew1:

Hello all. 71º and cloudy today. It rained a bit earlier which was nice after 3 days of 90º+ and high humidity. Supposed to have a fire out back tonight with some friends, hope we dont get rained out :)

Happy Sunday afternoon. Had to go up to Lufkin this morning for Hubby to sign some papers. Left the house at 7am... got home around 1:30. That's an exhausting drive.
I mustered up the energy to clean out the Crackerjack Marigolds (they were so tall and falling over) and mowed my area. Now... I'm just nothing waiting on those ribs to get cooked.

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 12°C and clear. Off to start another work week ... the weekends go so quickly! I imagine it will be another day of dragging hoses and carrying watering cans. I had started a garden makeover at home and I am anxious to continue, but doubt I will have time until next weekend. Have a great day all :)

A very good afternoon all. Seems like the heatwave has come to an end (I'm glad!) and the clouds have returned. Promised some showers tomorrow and Wednesday. The land desperately needs some rain.
    Have a great one all!

Happy Monday morning. Our rains have come and gone and the near 100F temps will be returning.
I'll be watering the containers this morning and then taking an aunt into town for shopping. Then home to enjoy the afternoon. Hopefully it won't be too hot so I can at least finish the weed-eating/trimming.
