Good morning! I guess this is not my do nothing day. I'm just getting here. I put soup in the slow cooker. If is isn't done by 4 pm I guess we will eat it tomorrow. I went out and dug the last of the carrots for it. I washed up things and cleaned the kitchen and put away all the canned goods we bought yesterday. It's sunny and going to upper 50's. Rain moved back to Friday with snow showers on Saturday. UGH!!!!! Dooley

Good aftermorning all in Stewbie land, it's the 12th January already. Rain seems to have disappeared and the sun has poked its head out. Quite nice actually.

I am playing a lot of chess these days, what a fantastic game. It never gets boring. Here's a little chess-themed joke for you from the legend Tommy Cooper:

"So I was having a meal with World Chess Champion Gary Kasparov in a restaurant - it took him two and a half hours to pass the salt"

    Current temps: 7 deg C / 45 deg F
Current listening to: RTE Radio 1 Ireland

    Friday best wishes to you!

Frank cute joke!! My kids love to play chess. Sadly I don't have a clue about how to play much less the names of the playing pieces!! The kids are pretty intense about their games!! Richard we are having the same kind of weather here, but by the first of the week the weatherman says to be prepared for
possible icy weather!! This is crazy short sleeves one day, freezing rain the next!!<sigh>
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Good morning all. Yup, yesterday heat on, today back door open. But this is not all that unusual here. Chess: Loved to play it with my dad as a youngster. Don't know anyone now who knows how. It may be a youngster's game as I am not sure I care enough now to be able to give it the concentration it needs.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 3 deg C here and overcast again (sigh) It sure would be nice to see some sunshine. I found the bunny who's been munching my garden...a great big Jack Rabbit! Boy can they run fast LOL There were 8 deer just outside the backyard this morning. I'm hoping they STAY just outside the backyard and don't find my garden buffet! Hopefully the clover in the fields will keep them happy...
    Have a great day all!

Good morning all. It is a beautiful day here. High will be in the mid 70's. Perfect day for cleaning out the beds, but they are still too wet. Sad thing is by the time I have a day off, it will be raining again. Oh well, I will get to it later, with just a few more weeds to pull.

Morning all. We have a light rain this morning and very mild temps compared to what tomorrow is going to be like.

We have several errands to run this morning including a grocery store trip so when the wonderful rain and winter weather arrive this weekend we can stay inside and enjoy it....and not have to listen to Amanda thinking she is starving to death because there is no food in the house only ingredients.

Toni, Amanda is just like me! The pantry and fridge can be groaning, but unless I can grab from the freezer and insert into the microwave, there is no food in the house!

Good morning! We tried to sleep late but the phone rang, only twice but it got us up. Cold here, only 36F. It's spitting rain but more is coming. I'm glad I'm not working today. Had to pick up a couple books from the library so I guess I'll spend the day in front of the fire. Dooley
