Good Thursday morning all. Currently 6°C and raining. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for my area ... strong winds and heavy rain for tonight. I am not a fan of Halloween and this is just another reason I would like to stay inside tonight! Off to do some shopping and errands before it all begins. Have a great day all :)

The storms seems to have passed north and south of us. We got the edges of both sides. Only 1.75 inches in the rain gauge since yesterday morning. Sun keeps trying to peek through clouds now.

Good afternoon all. Windy and cool today. Yesterdays rain event was a failure in my part of the state, we were in the clear path between the really heavy rain to our east and lighter rain to our west as it all moved south to north.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 16°C with passing showers and high winds. The winds should peak in a few hours and then start to wain and then the temperature will drop. House cleaning today and the septic tank is getting pumped out... what a fun day!

Happy Friday morning. We ended up with a total 5.5 inches of rain yesterday. Some flooding in the usual low places. Needless to say, the ground is saturated. And the heavy rains have some plants beaten down and the old patio umbrella that I was using as a trellis for the Bean Vine broke in half.
Today is clear and sunny with "normal" temps... 65-85F.
What a difference a day makes!

Morning all. 47º and grey and cloudy today, but it appears the storms are over. Trick or Treating had to be rescheduled due to the rain and high winds yesterday. Power went out at work last night but came back on after 5 mins. My dads house lost power too but the rest of the family was ok.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 7°C and overcast. The high winds have finally subsided but the rain continues. I've lost track of how long it has been since I have seen the sunshine! Septic tank was pumped yesterday so today I can use the water again. Lots of laundry to do! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday afternoon. Can you believe we got another 1/2 inch of rain overnight? It's been breezy and a little cool here. Supposed to get down the mid 40s overnight... but should be sunny tomorrow with highs in the lower 80s. So glad the sun has been shining all day... it's really really wet around here.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. I was a little more careful on the icy deck this morning! It's going to be a nice day, but I am heading to the big city with my sister to see our parents. We haven't been for a visit for a long time. I'm tired today ... somehow I lost that extra hour and more! Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. We got down into the 40s overnight. It's now around 57F under clear blue skies. It appears to be a little breezy out. I haven't gone out yet. It's 60F in the house and I figured this would be a good time to turn the heater on to make sure it doesn't need servicing before winter gets here. It seems to be working just fine. I'll let it run for a little while and then open up the doors & windows to get some of this nice clean air through the house.
Today is the blessing of the graves at noon. So I can't start anything.. I know me... I'll be dirty in no time. So I'm sure I can find something to do inside for another couple of hours.
I just noticed by computer didn't automatically change the clock back. I guess I probably need to reboot.

Oh, I wondered how it got to be so late. I was in the kitchen and I forgot to change the clock on the stove. I think dr changed everything else. He doesn't do appliances though.
It was 32 degrees here this morning so I'm glad I covered my plants last night. They appeared to be okay when I uncovered them this morning. There was a heavy frost this morning, too. Sunny now and 52 degrees already.

Well week is over. With DS just coming home-working second-third shift road construction. Got to be quiet before we go to work. To have more rain this week. Between rain and 40-50 mph winds took all my pretty red leaves off. mow and bag them put on flower beds

Good Monday morning all. Currently -7°C and sunny. I'm glad to see the sunshine, I feel like it has been a long time. I missed it yesterday when we were visiting our parents so I am going to go out and enjoy it today. Have some old photos to digitize too, for the next rainy day. Have a great day all! :)

Happy Monday morning. The only good thing about the time change is not dragging out of bed when it's still dark. But I know I'm going to be grumbling about it getting dark too darn early. Today should be pleasant... from 55-80F. It's cloudy too... maybe a slight chance of rain... which honestly, we could do without.

Good morning all. Nary a drop of rain has fallen up here since mid-October and once again the line of thunderstorms moving through is going from southwest to northeast and so far the closest it's getting to my garden is about 50 miles away.

But it is wonderfully overcast and nicely cooler outside, we might even have a couple of nights of temps in the low 40's coming up this week...with daytime highs only in the upper 60's. We just need rain like south Texas has been having with lots of runoff to fill the lakes.
