We are to get more rain. Rivers sure need it. Hope to get more before they freeze over. Or big fish kill.

Happy Tuesday morning. We got a light shower this morning. Nothing measurable... just enough to get things wet. There's a 30% chance of rain today, but it appears to be clearing off. Tomorrow... 70-80% chance of rain. Temps staying nice 50s to upper 70s.
Awww... poor co-worker... . She was telling me about a plant she has that was dying. She didn't know what it was. So we looked and looked online and figured out it was a Bromeliad. I told her to do some reading up on it and see what conditions it likes.
She just brought the poor little thing into the office. Strange though.. the tag was in the pot. The plant was dead. All I could say was that I'm sorry your plant died... just get another and this time follow the instructions on the tag. :'(

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 6°C and overcast. I officially started my Christmas shopping yesterday! May do a little more online today, but first I have my daughters 19th birthday to shop for. Housework today, skating with my youngest tonight. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Kinda warm this morning, but a cool front is supposed to come through early this afternoon bringing lower temps (mid50s) and more rain. The cooler temps will be welcomed... but honestly, I could without the rain... the ground is still pretty saturated. But oh well... what can you do?
I finally got a project for work (webpage) figured out... anxious to get it completed now that all the pieces are working.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 12°C and raining. Again! The past 3 weeks, with the exception of just 2 days, has been rainy and dingy. I'm really feeling the lack of sunshine and vitamin D!! I'm off to do some errands and shopping this morning. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. I got another 1/2 inch of rain yesterday. And right around sundown, the north winds started blowing dropping our temps down to the low 40s overnight. We should make it up to the upper 60s today.
Hopefully the ground will be dry enough to get into my flower beds this weekend to do some tidying up.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. Suddenly all the rain doesn't seem so bad ...

I'm sure it won't last long, but I was NOT impressed!
Lots to do indoors today, pre-weekend cleanout and then back to my family tree. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Another chilly start to the day with temps in the mid40s. And we should reach 70F again today with lots of sunshine. I'm ready for the weekend... it's supposed to be cool and sunny. Can't wait to get outside... I really miss it since it's practically dark when I get home from work.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 2°C and snowing. Yesterdays snow melted off by the end of the day, but today's snowfall is sticking to everything making it white again. I think I'll be staying inside today, maybe a good day to clean out the basement! Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. I love it when I can sleep in! Same temps this morning... mid 40s going up to 70F. But there's a few clouds
I excited to get to go play outside... been so long since I was out in the sunshine. They are predicting temps near freezing towards the end of the week, so today is "gather the tender plants" day. Some will come indoors and the others will go in my "winterhouse".
So I guess I need to do some rearranging and straightening up in here to make room.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast with high winds. I think the winds were worse during the night as it woke me up twice. My family tree research is getting interesting again ... I found a few cousins on Facebook and now I have some new photos. So excited to show them to my Dad! Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Clear skies and a bit warmer this morning with temps in the mid50s. Looks a little breezy out there but that's not going to stop me from getting outside and playing. I have enough cardboard and mulch to keep working on the expansion of that flower bed. Think I'll get the mower out one last time. The grass is just a little long and I definitely need to get the weed eater out and do some trimming/tidying up.
The dog refuses to go out... the neighbors have their guns out shooting at something (or nothing).

Good morning all. I am sore and tired today, not from gardening though as the Dr. says none of that until December, but we have been getting me back used to riding in the truck to thrift and junque shops then back home again. Got to get the body retrained for the important things. ;)
We over did it yesterday, I haven't done much of anything in the almost 4 weeks since the surgery and got a little too sure of myself yesterday, so today I let my body rest. And supervise Randy in clearing a path to the greenhouse in the back room so some of my favorite tender plants can be moved inside before Tuesday night....supposed to have a couple of nights of below freezing temps.
