Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast, with strong west winds. It feels so much colder than it really is! To think winter doesn't officially begin for another 10 days!
Went to the mall yesterday and got some more shopping done. Today I wrap and wait for a delivery. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. It was about 35F when I left home this morning and our highs are expected to be in the mid50s. Yesterday's beautiful clear blue sky is replaced with by partly cloudy one. Hopefully I'll get home before dark, I really think the plants in containers are in need of a drink.

Good morning all. 28f/-2c this morning going to be around 45f/4c this afternoon, then one more night below 32f/0c before it gets warm enough to put the ice in the past.

Quarterly visit with the Oncologist this morning, he is the only Doctor I have to continue seeing from this past summers adventure...every three months for the next 2 years. His lab tech draws about 8 pints of blood  , there will be two pages of results of all the tests they do on it, visit with him for a few minutes, make the next appointment and then go to lunch before coming back home. And compared to what could be happening, I am not complaining one iota.

Good morning! Sun is shining but clouds are hanging around. Maybe 55 degrees today. Cookies are finished. I frosted the sugar cookies last evening so I can pack the kids bags today. I'll wrap the cookies in plastic wrap so the frosting doesn't make the bags sticky inside. Most of the things are done so maybe we are ready for Christmas. Delivering cookies tomorrow morning, I think.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -14°C and overcast, with light snow falling. We got about 5cm of snow last night. One more week and the kids are done school for the holidays! That doesn't give me much time to finish shopping and wrap gifts. I hope the last of my packages come today! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Temps today.... 45-65F with 40% chance of rain this afternoon. We can always use it.
Office Christmas party today. Don't know how much fun it's going to be with at least half of the staff out sick! Oh well.... more cookies for me! Which reminds me Donna, I brought some of the pineapple/pecan cookies from that recipe you posted.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -18°C and snowing. Last minute change of plans today ... will be heading to the arena for a figure skating showcase with my daughter. We had originally planned a family get together but the anticipated snow storm has kept everyone near home today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all, warming up too much for my liking but next week should be good gardening weather. The freezing temps and ice last week took down the last of the perennials so I have a lot of cutting down to do.

Took the grandsons shopping last night for their Mom's christmas presents. She gives them a list of suggestions, only they take it as a list of must haves and want to buy her everything and being the 'spoiling' kind of Gramma I usually let them do almost that. It's really sweet of them to do that, this is the 3rd holiday season for her being a single Mom and they really want to take care of her. Thankfully we found most everything at only 2 stores and no shopping mall had to be part of the process.....I hate shopping malls.

Happy Saturday morning. Temps already in the 50s, so I guess that means highs in the 60s. It's mostly sunny but a little breezy. After I run a couple of errands I'll be spending the rest of the day outside. Even I if just sit there. I can't remember the last time I was able to be out there for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

Good Sunday morning all. CUrrently -14°C and overcast. There is still a little snow falling this morning. We had a great day at the arena yesterday! My daughter had the opportunity to hit the ice 3 times for various things. It was excellent practice for her and I am so glad that we went. Now if she practices and gets her confidence up, she can skate in the show in March. Baking today and catching up on laundry. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Yesterday turned out to be a yucky day... started off pretty and turned to a drizzly icky day. I did manage to mess around outside for a couple of hours here and there. We got down to freezing overnight, but the skies are CLEAR. Temps are around 40F now so hopefully it'll warm up more. And while I'm hoping... I hope the wind stops.... that's what makes it so unbearable to be out there for too long.
Today's plan... get out there! I noticed some weeds that seem to love the cold weather. And there's a plant that I need to get rid of (didn't like it and it's taking up prime real estate) so I may go ahead and dig it up since the cold has sent it packing for the winter. And the eco center is having their monthly get-together... Zydeco band and food... I'll probably go for a little while. But first... bake my brothers' kumquat cake and get it ready for shipping in the morning
