Good Monday morning all. Currently -9°C and snowing. The sun is actually shining right now and it looks pretty, but that won't last long. Temperatures will plummet today and snow squalls will begin again. Lots of snow overnight and today is a snow day for the kids. I'll be staying inside by the woodstove :) Have a great day all!

Coooold morning all. 14F/-10C here this morning with a feels like temp of 2F/-17C. I haven't been out yet but I don't imagine there is much green left in my gardens. This is cold but not the coldest it has ever been here....in 1899 it got down to -8F/-22C. I would still rather have a few days of below freezing temps than the 71 consecutive days of 100+ temps we had in 2011. ;)

Good morning! It's 22 degrees here at 10 am and the sun has been shining all morning. Winds out of the north up to 20 mph. Will hopefully reach 40 degrees. Chocolate muffins and oatmeal for breakfast.

It is 12 noon and -9 with wind chill a -39. I am staying in but with 4-6 drifts we can't go far. I hope it is warmer where you are.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -23°C with a strong NW wind and a windchill feeling like -41°C. Brrr! The school buses weren't cancelled today, but the road wasn't plowed and the driveway is completely blown in with snow so I kept the kids in. No sense getting them to walk down in this cold to wait for a bus that most likely wouldn't come. It is going to take us many hours to shovel ourselves out! At least the sun is shining. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. We had record cold temps set yesterday with the high only around 35F.
It was about 20F when I left home this morning but the winds have stopped so it doesn't seem as cold as yesterday. We should be warming up to the mid 40s today.
I quickly checked on the plants in the "winterhouse" last night and I think everything looked the same which makes the investment so worthwhile.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -18°C and clear. The wicked winds have finally died back enough to go outside and start shoveling our way out. It may take most of the day as the drifts are so high the plow truck will not push it. We will have to move a lot of it with the snow blower and then finish off with the plow truck. I guess this is one of the drawbacks of living in the country and having a 500 ft driveway after a blizzard. Off to enjoy a coffee and then heading outside for some exercise. Have a great day all :)

Netty, I think that you sent that wind to NB. I was sitting at the computer and I thought there was a helicopter hovering over the house. I kept looking for it. It was the wind blowing through the tops of the trees. Blew all night like that. Temps are up to 9*C this morning. Off to get dinner. Have a great day and keep warm to everyone in the freezing zone!

Happy Wednesday afternoon. We're slowing getting back to "normal" temps down here. I think the high today was supposed to be in the mid 50s and will be warming up to the 60s over the next few days. Hopefully I'll get home earlier to check on the plants that are tucked in. The poor Inpatien and Begonia that were on the front porch didn't survive the first really cold night. I forgot to bring them inside. Oh well... that's just two more plants I get to buy in the spring. :stew2:

A real heat wave-8* today. But at least no winds. But bracing not Friday-freezing rain. Got everything ready.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -10°C and overcast. No wind today so this temperature feels almost warm! Off to do my regular shopping and errand trip. We were trapped in the house for a few days so we need some re-stocking! Have a great day all :)

Good morning! It's raining this morning. Going to rain most of the day so it says. Rained during the night, too. More rain tomorrow. At least there is a reason for all of those clouds now. AND we won't have to shovel it. Have a good day now.

Happy Thursday morning. Temps in the mid 50s and MIGHT reach 70F. 50% chance of rain. It was clear at home but looks like it's rained a bit here at the office. We could really use a good rain. Dooley... I got a chuckle out of your comment about not having to shovel the rain. :D
Oh yeah.... saw a double rainbow. :stew2:

It is snowing again today but only about 1 inch. Tonight and tomorrow it is freezing drizzle. It sounds like a good day to stay in with a big pot of vegetable beef soup. wannabe
