Good Friday morning all. Currently -8°C and lightly snowing. Times flies, I can't believe it's already Friday! House work and laundry today and doing a beef roast in the crock pot. Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. Temps are warming up nicely starting the day off in the mid 50s and getting up to the lower 70s later on. It rained off and on at the office yesterday, but practically nothing at the house. Hopefully today's 40% chance will go to my house.
I finally had the chance to uncover some of the plants from our recent hard freezes. The callas look awful. I guess I should have added a blanket over the sheet. Hopefully the bulbs are okay. By Sunday I should be able to have a chance to take a good luck inside the "winterhouse" to see what kinda damage happened in there.

Good morning! It's gray and cloudy here but it's not supposed to rain until afternoon. I hope it doesn't rain for you Toni. Think of the wonderful things in her life and that she is joining your father.

Good Saturday morning all. The weather roller coaster continues ... currently 3°C and raining. My dog walk this morning was treacherous as the rain has turned the compacted snow into ice! Off to skating shortly. Have a great day all :)

Weather is rarely what they say it will be lately. Gave rain, now it is freezing rain. Oh I hope not another major ice storm. It was supposed to warm up, instead it got colder. Ugh!

Happpy Saturday morning. The news said it was really foggy this morning, but since I had a chance to sleep in... I didn't see it. We're going to have a super nice day today. Temps from mid 50s to mid 70s and lots of sunshine.
Normally my mind would be whirling on which things I needed to do out in the garden on a day like this... but my day will be spent at my cousin's funeral and then with family & friends.

Rain and wind today. Hope to get out and get some vitamin D, or it might be liquid sunshine.

Happy Sunday morning. Looks like we're going to have another gorgeous day. Temps are around 50f now and should be back to the mid 70s. And not a cloud in the sky! I still have some family obligations today, so I won't be tackling anything in the garden... although you couldn't ask for a better day for gardening... I am going to pull back the cover on the "winterhouse" to properly assess the damage from the freeze... and give everything a good drink. Then try staying off my feet and spending time with Sassy Marie... I haven't spent much time with her in the last week. She needs her loving and playtime.

Good morning! I was up early this morning but other than breakfast and dishes I haven't done much. dr has laundry hanging. The sun is shining and it does say it will get to 72 degrees. 20 percent chance of rain later in the day and rain tomorrow. Do we need more rain? Our muddy road is a mess and our driveway is a lake. Hope it dries out some before it starts to rain again.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C with clouds and gusty SW winds. Red sky this morning so I'm sure something is going to happen, maybe rain. Clean up today, maybe some baking, definitely, some laundry and skating class later with my daughter. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. We finally got some rain... about 3/4 inch. It was really needed.
    Today's temps from mid50s to 70F.
I finally had a chance to get a close look at the plants in the "winterhouse" to see what damage was done from our recent freeze... which as lots. I hope that some of the roots were strong enough to survive. I need to get in there this weekend and put labels in the pots while I can still tell what's what.
Lessons learned.... the tarp worked good in protecting the plants in light frosts. Next hard frost... add some heat lamps.
I also noticed that the mandarin and orange tree leaves look burnt too.
Glad there isn't any freezing temps in the near future.

Hope we continue with the rain. It hasn't been nearly enough and seems to be back to misty dry weather. Contractor is coming today to start putting in skylights in the living room and kitchen. Let the sun shine in.

Good afternoon all. It took 48 hours of drizzle for my yard to get 1/4th inch last week, first we have had in almost a month and nothing forecast for at least the next week.
