Good Sunday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast. I slept in today! That doesn't happen very often. I'm trying to use up some of my garden produce from the freezer so I'll be making some zucchini bread and carrot muffins. Still not sure what to do with those Black Currents though ... looking for ideas. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. 48f right now. Lots of sunshine. Finally called my internet server. .. router is dead. I made myself lol.... told the guy that it could wait because now i had a smartphone. 2 weeks ago i would have been begging him to fix it NOW! after going to Wallyword to get a new one, and some more potting, dog food, bird food,i'll continue playing in the yard. That is until its time to go to the Duck Farms monthly gathering.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -14°C and overcast. We had snow and strong winds again last night and so the driveway is snowed in again. It's not as bad as last time so the plow should take care of it easily. I'm baking cupcakes today for skating tonight ... 'crazy helmet day' which I volunteered for before my daughter moved up a level. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Mid40s this morning with cloudy skies. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if it rained... but that's not in the forecast. Our highs will be in the 70s and going back down to near freezing overnight.
My sister will be visiting this coming weekend, so I should probably use today to do some housecleaning. Or find something to play with outdoors. Or probably some of both? :stew2:

Good morning all. Warmer last night than I like, good sleeping weather is when the temps are well below 40 deg. Supposed to be around 70 this afternoon before the next front comes through then another front later in the week. Bad part is these fronts are all dry fronts, no rain at all.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -25°C and sunny. Arctic air moved in yesterday afternoon and we are in for another cold week. Toni, your 70°F sounds very good to me right now! House work today and maybe I'll finally get those carrot muffins made. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. A breezy day for us with temps ranging from 50 to 60F today. Fire danger is high. Maybe some rain by the end of the week.

Good afternoon all. Sorry Netty, someone sucked the 70 deg temps out of our area overnight and replaced it with 30-40 degree temps for a few days!!! Yippppppeeee!!!

Finally spent some time on Ancestry.com yesterday and found an hitherto unknown cousin who lives not very far from me. We have great-great-grandparents in common, he posted a photo of my great-grandfather which was great since I do not have any photos of him at all. First time I have found any personal information about the Glenn side of my family other than what I already knew.

Cold days like this I like to spend in the kitchen, baking or trying new recipes, so that is where I will be.
Toni, that is great that you made a new connection and saw a picture of your great grandfather!! It is the things like that happening that keep us addicted to our search! I'm still hoping to find pictures of people from my Moms side of the family as I have very few. Have a great day all!

Happy Wednesday morning. Started the day right at the freezing mark, but going to be warming up nicely to the mid60s with blue skies. However.... it will be MUCH colder tomorrow with temps in the low 20s and barely getting above the freezing level. And with a 50% chance of some sort of precipitation, the weather folks are tossing around words like sleet and snow.
My sister's flying in from California tomorrow night... told her to bring some warm clothes.
When I get home this evening, I'm going to put some lights in the "winterhouse". Poor plants are already traumatized from the last 20F temps.

Happy Thursday morning. Starting the day off in the high 40s... but will be getting colder as the day progresses. 50% chance of rain later on too. Temps are supposed to get down to the mid 20s overnight.... so the area is under a winter advisory tomorrow... sleet and freezing rain. Who knows... maybe even a little snow flurry?
I put some lights out in the "winterhouse" yesterday, hopefully that'll give them some heat to keep them from sustaining any further damage. I think I better add another layer over the Callas too... that sheet didn't seem to protect all that great last time we had a freeze.

It's 40's and raining here right now. May turn to a wintery mix this afternoon and snow tonight and tomorrow. This is Texas. It isn't supposed to snow on us.
