Good cold afternoon all. It was 36 when I got up and is now 28 and dropping throughout the day.

Dooley, the worst part about the forecasted snow/wintry mix is that it's all SOUTH of me, we might see a flurry or two if we happen to be outside when they fall but otherwise it will be bone dry up here. :( :-x

Toni... As I watched the news tonight, I noticed that your part of the state wasn't in the 'blue' like most parts. :'(
I'm wishing my part of this stuff will go up towards you.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -24°C and overcast. Weatherman says there will be a windy, wintery storm tonight. I have already brought in a few days worth of firewood. I fed the birds, plugged in my car, emptied the compost pails too. Now I can relax a little and not worry about going outside again! Have a great day all :)

Happy Friday morning. The temps are still in the uppper 20s and may get just above freezing this afternoon. We got a little sleet around 5am but no snow. The weather-forecasters seem so disappointed! One of them last night said "it had better snow or else I'm going to look like a fool". Guess what dude? :D
I'm still taking a half-day off work because of the icing. I drive over 5 bridges and one high overpass in my 35 mile commute. I'll use this time to do some last minute house cleaning. My sister is flying in tonight from California (her flight yesterday was cancelled).
I also notice the birds hopping around the feeder, guess I need to bundle up and go feed them. The dog came in the house last night when I got home and went straight to her bed and still has no desire to leave it. Smart doggie :stew2:

Good morning! It's cold and there's two or three inches of fluffy snow out there. Guess I need to sweep decks and steps so we can go feed the birds.

Happy Saturday morning. Another frosty start to the day... nothing like yesterday... but still cold. We might reach 60F today and the skies are clear. Waiting on the ice to melt from the sheets covering the plants so I can tuck them away for a few days. Also need to get the steps cleared of any remaining ice and the sand I spread yesterday.
Waiting to hear from my cousin to see what time we're going to set up stuff for my uncle's memorial service this afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing my aunt and the other relatives.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -6°C and snowing. The strong winds have died down a little bit, but still blowing snow is making driving conditions horrible. But -6°C is almost WARM compared to what we have been seeing and I'll take it!
Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. The day started off in the mid40s and we should get up to the lower 60s for a high. There's a few fluffy white clouds... so it's going to be a pretty day.
Will just be hanging out with my big sis today... going visiting the aunts and then take her to the airport.
Then I need to stop by and see my cousin before he returns to New Mexico. Plus.. it's my best friend's birthday. Gotta squeeze in a visit her too.
Then it'll be time to kick back this evening and check out the Grammys.
Just saw the forecast for next week... Tuesday and/or Wednesday could be a repeat of last Friday's weather... freezing rain/sleet or snow with temps in the lower 20s again. YUCKY!

Good morning! Sunny and already 60. Should reach 70 this afternoon. Then, the temperatures will drop to 40's during the day and upper 20's at night for the week coming. Ugh! I am definitely not a winter person. Spring is just around the corner and I wish it would hurry this way.

Good afternoon all. We have been to breakfast and the grocery store for the week and now it's time to change into my shorts and t-shirt and go play in the garden. Hopefully the ants have moved further underground cause I really want to get more of the Canna's dug up.

Low 70's today then down into the 20-35 degree range for a few days but again, this is to be a dry cold snap for us.
Looks like we will end January with a whopping 1/4th inch of rain...not a favorable portent for spring and summer

Good Monday morning all. Currently -14°C with snow and wind and a bit of sun mixed in. This picture that I snapped on my dog walk this morning shows what our days have been like almost all month. That's my driveway, all blown in with snow again.

I almost lost the dog in that snow drift!
I feel the same way about winter as Toni does about the hot and dry she gets daily in Texas!
Snow day for the kids today. I'm staying in too.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. A very foggy start to the day with temps in the mid50s. It's sunny here at the office though. Our highs might reach the 60s but that arctic blast should be arriving this afternoon/night. My boss already said she's closing the office tomorrow since they are predicting from 1-5 inches of snow and freezing rain/sleet. Our temps are expected to dip down into the high teens... another hard freeze that the plants, trees, grass (what's left of them) really don't need. I got a feeling I'm going to be replacing alot of stuff this spring. :'(

Good morning all. Windy and 33 degrees this monring, feels like 20 now but the temp will be dropping all day. Not a cloud in the sky.

I worked in the front garden yesterday afternoon, cleaning up and weeding. Some green still there, leaves of the Iris, Lilies and Daffs and the Yarrow and Scabiosa appear to be actually growing already. I am getting more Yarrow and Scabiosa this Spring those are like the Timex watch of the plant world. ;)

Netty, don't know about you but I sometimes think I was born in the wrong place...time too sometimes.

Cheryl......WHAT??? How much sleet and snow?? This just isn't right to say nothing about fair.
