Getting ready for another snow. not had a lot compared to other years. Just enough to make roads slick. But at least covered plants-to get cold again.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -13°C and overcast. I went for a 2 hour skate yesterday, but today I have to focus on housework. Another snow storm on the way for tonight...I really don't know where we are supposed to put it! Hopefully we wont get too much. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. A rainy start to the day with temps in the mid 40s and going up to 60F today. About the same for tomorrow but after that, freezing or near freezing temps for the next 5 or so days. Glad I got the chance to at least play outside a couple of days, even with the inch of rain we got on Sunday.
Okay... so here we go back to winter. :'(

It rained all morning and has been cloudy this afternoon. High 58 degrees. Not a good day for much. I did see daffodils are up four or five inches on the east end of the house. I just need to pull the old dry grass out of the bed.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -8°C and snowing with a strong NE wind. This is the 4th 'snow day' for the kids in 2014. Took my youngest to a skaters shop yesterday to look for a dress. She tried on over 10, but we finally found the perfect one. Actually, we bought 2 because we couldn't pass up a good deal! She's happy and I'm relieved to have FINALLY found one as she has her first competition this weekend. Today I catch up on housework. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Woke up to a light frost this morning. We should get up to the mid 50s today. But more rain and freezing temps expected for the next few days. The ground is already saturated (yippee). We only got 1/2 inch of rain yesterday, but on top of the recent 1 inch... it's really "mushy" out there.
I've got the itch to go plant shopping. The "big" nursery has everything still at half price, and I'm thinking of getting a palm... this would be a good time to get one since they can be pretty expensive. I could just tuck it away in the garage for a few weeks, right? :stew2:

Good morning all. Not supposed to get above 32 deg today and tomorrow, down to 17 tonight. This is more winter than we have had in years and I love it. The drizzle yesterday left only 1/4th inch in the rain gauge, plus the 1/8th inch from Sunday, we have had a total of 3/8ths of an inch.

I have been making a birdseed/peanut butter mix for my fine feathered friends and they are loving it. Red Wing Blackbirds, Starlings and a large Sparrow I have yet to ID but it appears to be the White-throated Sparrow-Adult tan-striped. If I can get a cleared photo I think I'll send it to Cornell labs for positive ID. But whichever, there are about 3 dozen birds hanging around the two containers out there having a good time.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -21°C and overcast. Less snow then expected yesterday, but colder then expected this morning too. Not sure which I would rather have? Off to do some errands and shopping today. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Temps near freezing overnight and even had a little sleet on my commute to work. It's supposed to stay overcast and drizzly and windy all day with a high only in the low 40s. Yucky!

GOOOOOOD morning all. It's 16F/-9C degrees now and not supposed to get out of the 20's for the high.

It has been SNOWING here for about an hour, only less than half an inch on the ground but it's sooooooooooo pretty and everything is so quiet outside. The cars I can see traveling along Beltline about two blocks away are going at a snails pace, second smartest thing they can do...the first smartest would have been to call in sick.

I have snow falling to watch and more photos to take. I am wearing my long black dress with sparkly snowflakes so I am a happy woman right now.

It was cold and snowy here this morning but now it's just cloudy. Hope no more snow shows up here. I have enough!

    Have a good day.

Happy Friday morning. Even though the morning temp is colder than yesterday, it doesn't feel as cold. Maybe because the precipitation hasn't gotten here yet? They are calling for another round of wintery mix in this area around noon. The high won't even make it to 40. But on the brighter side... the weekend should be okay with highs in the 60s. I'll take it!

Good morning! Still cold with wintery mix predicted. I'll help Cherylad wait for the weekend. I'm ready for spring. Wintery mix can go somewhere else now.
    Have a good day.

Good morning all. Having a heat wave today, going into low 30's by this afternoon. Might be a little more snow at some point but probably will stay north, northwest and south of us for some reason. I guess I didn't pay my winter subscription bill in time to get more. There is a chance of another wintry mix next Tuesday, maybe my payment will get there in time.
