Good Monday morning all. Currently -23°C and sunny. I think this is the last very cold morning for a little while. Temperatures going up above freezing this week :) Today is Family Day here so I will have to try to get the family outside together to do something in the snow. It may be hard ... but we will at least have a nice family dinner. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Yesterday ended up being a lazy day... but I did manage to clear out the cannas. Today is going to be another nice one with temps near 80F, but it's overcast with a slight chance of rain. Need to get back out there and clean out more of the flower beds. It makes it a little less dreary when the dead stuff if removed. But first..... take my aunt to do her shopping.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -4°C with light snow falling. Using my sons computer as my computer is being quirky this morning. Everyone please send me patience as DH is trying to quit smoking and he is extra cranky and mean today. I am almost ready to go out and buy him some cigarettes! I planted a few things yesterday to cheer me up ... just some catgrass and Calla Lily. I do hope they grow. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. A foggy start to the day... but not too thick. And temps are nice... from mid60s to near 80F today.
I got the front yard beds cleaned up over the weekend... now to start on the back. I don't want to get too eager back there and get carried away and pull up something that may still come back. Sure going to be interesting to see what has survived one of our coldest winters in a long while. I was at my aunts yesterday, and plants she's had for 20+ years died back for the first time. :'(

Good afternoon all. I have had to hook the hoses up and start watering everything again. Rain on my yard has been a grand total of 1.5 inches since early November.
Our local water supply lake is less than half full so we will be re-doing the soaker hose/mulch combo all the garden areas before things break dormancy.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -4°C and sunny. It was a lovely dog walk this morning ... the sun is shining and the birds are singing ... it ALMOST feels like spring! Heavy rain in the forecast for tomorrow so that should take care of most of the snow. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Another very foggy morning... I just went back to bed for another hour.... so the commute to work wasn't too bad. Temps will be back up around 80F today, but cooling off a bit the next few days. The weekend is supposed to be gorgeous! Yes... I'm already looking forward to the weekend. :-D

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -5°C and overcast. It's shopping day again ... didn't I just GO grocery shopping? Time is speeding by, hopefully it slows down in time for spring. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Overcast this morning, but at least it wasn't foggy. We're still hanging in there with temps from mid60s to nearly 80F. Looks like we have a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. I'm so darn tempted to stop at the nursery... beginning to see the stands getting filled with color. But I will wait. I will wait. I THINK I'll wait. :D
Hey Mrs. G! Good to see you back! :stew2:

Good afternoon all. Yet another dry, sunny day, our humidity level is just under what the Sahara desert usually considers muggy weather, so the fire warning is at Red level.
We don't have any rain forecast until middle of next week and then it is only a 20% chance that 20% of the area will see rain.
My city has already put Stage 1 water restrictions into effect for this year, usually it doesn't start until May 1st and runs until October 1st.
