Happy Monday morning. When I left home this morning it was just 30F but the wind chill factor made it feel like 17. Brrrrrr. But... the sun is breaking through so that's a very good thing.
I checked the rain gauge on my way out the door, there was about 1/4 inch of ice in it! :D
This is normally my Monday off work, but I have a special project that has to get done today, so once that's done I can leave and hopefully get to enjoy some of the day off.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -16°C and overcast. Starting the spring clean up so that when spring finally gets here I will be able to play out in the dirt. It's amazing how much 'stuff' can accumulate in a year! I dread it, but I may have to have a yard sale this year. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Temps hovering around freezing still and with over an inch of rain, it's just plain YUCKY out there! Our ground was already saturated, so this will take a while to soak in. There's some ice on the trees, but nothing major. Local radio says a big overpass that I have to travel over is icy, so I'm gonna wait another hour or so before heading in. Our temps aren't supposed to get out of the 30s today, and the rain isn't supposed to stop until later on this afternoon. So, I think I'll prop open the door to the laundry room so at least Sassy Marie can hang out in there out of the weather until I get home tonight.
I did take this "down time" to go vote this morning, I was the first one there.
Now... THIS must be our last blast of winter... okay Mother Nature??!!???

Good morning all, 28 deg this morning. Still little patches of white in the shaded parts of the yard. Just enough moisture from the snow to make the top of the mulch wet, the soil under the mulch is still dry as a bone. There is a slight chance of rain tomorrow and again over the weekend. But I am not holding my breath waiting for it, I need to get the hoses hooked back up and start watering again.

Good morning! Cold and icy here this morning. Steps were all icy when I went out to feed the birds for dr. Biscuits and egg gravy for breakfast. Made chocolate muffins for later. dr says they are better cold. Hopefully nothing needs doing outside.

Good day all. Really cold here still. It was -20 this morning. The sun is shinning so it doesn't seem so bad.

Happy Wednesday morning. I think I finally defrosted from yesterday! We got another 3/4 inch of rain out of that system and temps didn't reach freezing overnight. Yippee! It's a little drizzly out there with temps from the mid 30s to upper 50s.
Now all we need is some sunshine!

Good morning all. We have such a small chance of rain it's pathetic.....lot of talk about serious water restrictions coming into effect before Spring arrives.

Good morning! We have had no measurable rain for a couple of weeks. A hundredth of an inch at the most each time. No rain yet today though it is predicted. Cloudy, gray and gloomy. It is above freezing and no ice this morning. Sunshine, maybe next week on Tuesday. Rain all this weekend.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -22°C and sunny. Getting very tired of these unseasonably cold temperatures!!! Today is shopping and errand day, and also the last day of school before the March break begins. I need to come up with some activities for next week when I have 2 kids home, or they will sit here and EAT! Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Started the day off in the mid30s and expecting to get up to the high 50s... and sunny! Yippee! Not that I get to enjoy it since I'm at work, but it's still nice to see.

Good morning all. Supposed to reach the upper 50's today and maybe 70's on the weekend. Overcast this morning but that doesn't mean anything except the evil day star isn't showing it's ugly face....at least not until this afternoon.

The Blue Jays are a hungry bunch, we have 4 hanging around our yard. I have been putting our in-the-shell peanuts for them but will have to start buying them by the bushel basket full  The female Red-wing Blackbirds are hogging the other feeders, must be close to nesting time.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny, going all the way up to +3°C today. Finally some more seasonal temperatures!! I saw a Robin on my dog walk this morning, so Spring MUST be around the corner! Today is the first day of March break so I have to figure out some activities to get the kids outside. Have a great day all :)
