Good Friday morning all. Currently -6°C and overcast. I had a horrible day yesterday! I had to take my son to the fracture clinic for a follow up appointment and new cast. Our appointment was for 12:10pm but we didn't get to see anyone until after 2pm. We sat and we sat and we SAT some more! Finally got the new cast on and then we had to wait for fresh xrays and then we sat some more while we waited to see the doctor again. We finally got to leave at 4pm! The hospital was under renovation and we were lost in the detours. The casting room was dirty and had trash overflowing all over and the attendants were rude. This is not our 'usual' hospital and it was a long drive to get there and home again. I was never so glad to get home! Today, I have shopping and errands to do. Have a great day all :)

Hey Cheryl, hope your flight was fast and uneventful and have a good time with your friends.

Good morning all. Nippy at 48 degrees this morning....when it reaches the 70's this afternoon I will head outside for some one-on-one time with 1 or 2 more sections of the back garden.

I went outside and moved a pile of wood that was stacked along the drive. It wasn't cut to length yet so it made a big pile in the storage yard. dr came and helped move a few bigger pieces. Get exercise, they say, but don't do too much. Well, I do enough to get the job done. If it's too much, it's just too much. Went to lunch after so that was incentive to get it done.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and guess what? It's SNOWING! I don't know who made mother nature so angry, but I wish they would stop it!! Tomorrow at this time I will be on a bus on my way to Canada Blooms. I can't wait to walk in and breathe in the first scents on spring! Off to skating this morning, have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -24°C and sunny. I can't believe we are just 3 days away from the official beginning of spring and it is still this cold out! Had a lovely time at Canada Blooms yesterday, took a lot of photos which I will upload shortly. Had a nice time with the ladies an men from the garden club and learned of another garden show/bus trip next month. Kids are back to school today, DH back to work so I am home alone. Finally! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning from Tucson where it's 50f now and expected to reach 80f. Nothing but sunshine. ... and pollen! I've been taking meds every day so it hasn't been too bad. Leaving for home in a couple hours.

Cheryl, in spite of the pollen, I hope you had a great visit.

Good morning all. Down to 32 overnight but that's the last of the 30's for the foreseeable future. :'( Spring weather will begin today with the temp in the 60's then going up from there for the week. Oh, well, guess I had better accept it and get busy outside.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -9°C and overcast. Somehow, even with these frigid temperatures, we managed to melt a little snow yesterday. Still no sign of any gardens through the snow, but with the cold temperatures that is a good thing - I know my plants are well insulated. Looking back at my garden journal, I look forward to seeing the bulbs I planted in the fall blooming. My daughter loves white tulips so I planted a bunch of those outside her bedroom window, and I also splurged on a Fritillaria imperialis. If spring ever gets here they might bloom! Housework today and if the sun comes out I might head outside later. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday afternoon. Back at work after a quick vacation... it's amazing how much work comes in when you take a day off! I've finally gotten caught up and had a chance to check in here.
I checked the rain gauge this morning before I left home, and there was 2 inches in there! No wonder the ground was so soggy. It's gorgeous today with temps in the high 70s and lots of sunshine. And that nasty pollen. I'm still sneezing my head off and will have to restock everyone's tissue supply.
I'm trying to get out of here a little early. It's no fun trying to work like this.

Good afternoon all. I should be out back working in the garden but got busy and forgot. It's just now hitting 70 deg so there is still some time left to get out there, supper will be leftovers so I don't have to cook much tonight.

Glad to see you back home Cheryl.....let's see, only 8 more months of allergy season in Texas. Better buy a lot of tissues!!!

Good morning! I can't say that for sure though because it's still dark outside. We seem to be in a strange wake up pattern. 9am, 5:30am, 9am, 5:30am. But, since we have to have the truck in for service at 8 am today it's okay. We had breakfast at home. Then, we can go do something fun and have lunch out. Where to go? That's a good question. I'll let you know later.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -4°C and overcast. We have a freezing rain warning in effect for a while longer, and then rain. I guess rain will help melt the snow. A busy afternoon ahead,my daughter has skating practice for their ice show from 4-7:30. I'm cleaning house this morning and making a pot of stew. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Temps from mid50s to mid70s with a slight chance of rain. I feel like crap. From allergies and now the onset of a head & chest cold. But... had to come to work at least for a half day. All this gorgeous weather and I'm stuck on the couch blowing my nose. Oh the unfairness of it all!!! :stew2:
