Good Monday morning all. Currently -19°C and sunny. It's a nice, sunny day, but I am more than a little upset about the cold temperatures! Staying cold until Thursday when the temperature gets back to our more seasonal temperatures. Clean up today from the weekend activities and making home made soup and biscuits for dinner. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Got about 1/8th inch of rain overnight, just enough to wash the pollen out of the trees. Today will be from mid50s to low 70s with a slight chance of rain. I hate to say this, but I really don't need any more rain for a little while. The ground is saturated and mushy. I was barely able to get the mowing done and not make ruts or get stuck. Yes, Toni... I'll gladly send you my rain for a little while, but I'll need it back during the summer, okay? :stew2:

Good morning all. Yet another sunny, dry day in store for my garden. I have more cleaning of beds to do out back, changing up the tailgate bed to make a small veggie garden with some Blue Jade Corn, Italian green beans and a couple of tomatoes and I will be trying Cucumbers again we are out of pickles.

Happy Tuesday morning. Kinda cool this morning with temps in the 40s, but going up to the mid 70s. I've got so much I want to do at home that it's making it very hard to be at work. Maybe I'll take a half day off on Friday?

Good morning all. I really wanted to sleep in this morning to give my achy old body more rest but, we have a fan in the window during cold winter nights, that window faces east and the sun starts blasting it's shiny self through that window about 8 a.m. I could roll over and face the other way but once I am awake I might as well get up cause I can't do anything but lay there and plan the day after that.

Still way too cold to work in the garden but I want to start getting the genealogy paperwork organized so I can find things when I want them.

Good afternoon. Lovely sunny but cold day. Just got home from town with a load of planting supplies. Two 80 L bags of growing mix,a couple of seed starter trays and some flower seeds. Giving us major storm with blizzard conditions and up to 50 cm of snow starting tonight. So tomorrow I will be starting my tomatoes, peppers and onions.Nice project for a wintry day!

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -18°C and sunny. My weatherman assures me this is the last morning I will feel wind chills in the -20's. I bought some seeds yesterday and today I will plant them.
Chrisle - I have just seen the forecast for your area ... stay safe my friend! Planting seeds sounds like a good activity. I hope the storm passes quickly.

Happy Wednesday morning. temps from the low 50s up to 70 today with a 50% chance of rain. Okay... if you must rain, glad it's during the week and not over the weekend. Hopefully it won't rain too too much, I have some flowers I need to get in the ground, but don't want them to drown. :stew2:

Good morning all. I got up a little later than usual this morning so the regular breakfast crowd was getting a little rowdy out front waiting in the sprinkles. Cat first, then the peanuts out for the Blue Jays since they make so much noise when they are hungry, the Squirrel was hanging down the tree chattering about the empty peanut bowl and the cat. The Dove and Red-winged Blackbirds were just sitting quietly waiting but the minute the trays were filled they started shoving each other around for a place to sit. Glad I am not expected to make breakfast for the family, that crowd is quite enough to have to handle before I have even had my first cup of tea.

We are getting sprinkles, which is all the weatherman has predicted for us maybe as much as a Trace since it is less than 1/10th of an inch, the good stuff is.....wait for it....North and South of us....as usual. Not even that much of a chance for tomorrow then the sky clears and the rest of March will be warming up and dry.

So far this year we have had barely 2 inches of rain, this time last year we had already had 8 inches.

Happy Thursday morning. A bit warmer today with temps started off in the low 60s and going up to the mid70s with a 60% chance of strong thunder showers this afternoon. We only got about 1/8th inch of rain yesterday, so I guess a little more won't hurt.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 2°C and raining, with SW winds. It's very gloomy out, but if the rain is washing away the snow it is worth it. Cleaning house today and taking my son for a haircut. Have a great day all :)
