Good morning! It's only just after 10 am and we've had about .7 inches of rain with thunder showers still coming our way. I woke up at 5:30 am to thunder and lightning and heavy rain. We went and got the papers and are now settled in for the day. I have lots of cookbooks to peruse as I bought about a dozen at a yard sale yesterday. It's was only 52 degrees at 9 am and won't warm up too much today but toward the middle of the week it will be back up to upper 70's. That's my kind of weather. I'll never get my garden finished if the ground is so soggy wet.

Happy Sunday morning. It's around 58F now and kinda misty/drizzly and breezy. There's an 80% chance of rain today, so if it's gonna do it, let's get on with it. At this rate I'm tempted to get outside. But I must do some house cleaning done - rain or no.

Good afternoon all. We have been to breakfast and Elliot's Hardware for a biiiiiiig bag of safflower seeds for the birds and are home for the rest of the day. That is unless Randy remembers how terrible my keyboard has become and insists we go buy me a new keyboard/mouse set.....I do tend to wear out keyboards.
Now we are home enjoying the continued sound of RAIN!!! Started early this morning, got about 1/8th of an inch before it stopped, then around 10 just as we were leaving to go to breakfast it started up again and has been a steady, sometimes heavy sprinkle for over 3 hours with more to come.
The only sad thing is that it's been so light there is just now a half inch of rain in the gauge. But that and the lightning releasing nitrogen in the air my plants are really standing tall and pretty.

Toni, we have just over an inch right now. We are in a lull right now but it's still cloudy and gray and the weather still says rain through the afternoon and night. Hope you get some more, too.

Good Monday morning all. Currently -2°C and sunny. Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day. A lot of snow melted and I was able to start raking patches of lawn. I'm a little sore this morning, from using those muscles I didn't use all winter. Another nice day today, but rain in the forecast for later. I do hope to get back outside and keep those muscles moving! Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Yesterday was a good lazy day. Kinda on the cold side... temps never reached 60F and it was drizzly all day with brief periods of rain... just over 1/2 inch in the gauge. Today will be a bit warmer, but still in the mid 50s. Might make it up to the low 70s. Hope the sun makes an appearance!

Good afternoon all. The sky is clearing up, sun is coming out and the temps will be going up  Oh, well, this has been one of the best early Spring seasons we have had in many years. It looks like my Iris and Lilies will be blooming later than they ever have, the past few years it was so warm that they were finished blooming and beginning to die back by early April.

I went out and cut weeds and grass this morning. I noticed a new iris blooming and some snapdragons. Spring is definitely here. Temps in 70's and up to 80 this week.

Absolutely lovely day today. Reached 70F. Should have been out weeding, instead had a relaxing lunch with a friend. Don't know where the time went..watching harbor seals fishing and enjoying good company. ;)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 1°C and raining. I woke up to a fresh layer of snow this morning! I was not impressed, but now it is raining and melting away. My neck is sore from yard work, so the rain will help keep my indoors today. I might even get some house work done. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. Got just under 1/8th inch of rain overnight and still kinda cloudy now but supposed to clear off and reach the mid70s, but will be windy. I think I saw in the forecast that we will be in mid 40s tonight?
Think I'd better bring in my little seedlings that are on the back porch hardening off.

    Morning all.
Sad how the Grand kids are spell bounded with those gadgets. If we go back in our time of being a kid. We were active, having fun, going outside. It was the real world for a kid. Today kids are inactive and over weight. All because of thee toys.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -1°C and sunny. I wanted to light a fire in the woodstove this morning to take the chill out of the air. Ended up smoking the house out!! I'm wondering if a bird has built a nest in the chimney? A bit of house work today and then outside to rake gravel off the grass - my least favorite of all spring jobs! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Brrrr.... it was 42F when I left home this morning. But no fear, we'll be in the upper 70s later on and clear blue sky! And so happy that those strong winds from yesterday have subsided. That was nasty!
