Good morning all. I don't like being up this early but it's going to be a busy day, I don't like busy days either.

Our youngest grandson will be spending the weekend with us, that's always a fun time. He is our own entertainment center when he is here :-D

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 3°C and overcast with rain in the forecast. I'm up bright and early to take advantage of a compost giveaway the town has each year. Each family is allowed 4 large containers full of the beautiful compost the town makes at it's composting facility. Only problem is I can't find my shovel! Off to search for one now. Have a great day all :)

Right on the zero mark here this morning. Sun is rising so it should be a good day. Just hauled all the strawberry plants out to the greenhouse. Have to bring the mall in tonight again as the temps fall to -2. Bit chilly yet to put the tomato seedlings out yet even in the daytime. I think we are about a month behind in our weather this year.(sigh)

Happy Saturday morning. 70F now and overcast. Temps should reach the upper 80s. There's a slight chance of rain in the forecast. All I know is it better stay away until I get all my chores done... mowing, weedeating, edging and since the ground is dry enough, I can finally haul all those dead branches, limbs, vines back to the burn pile in the pasture. And after all of that, put the netting over the strawberries and blackberries. I refuse to let the birds eat all my goodies this year!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 2°C and cloudy. Had a great day yesterday ... found my shovels hiding in the outhouse of all places! Went and got my fill of free compost, worked out in the veggie patch a little but it was too wet out there. Picked up my fencing too, now I just need 4 more posts and I can get started. I have so much I want to do outside I can't wait to get started today! But first, laundry and some cleaning. Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning. Looks like another pretty day here... as long as the rain stays away a few hours. I got all my mowing, etc done yesterday but ran out of energy. So today I'll be covering up the berries. And I still need to clean out some old containers and repot some stuff.

Good morning all. The weather radio woke us early this morning with the alert about heavy thunderstorms, high winds and possible hail moving our way. I got up to see what might happen. We got about 4 minutes of light sprinkles and now the line of storms has moved on to the east. As usual the rain went across the area about 4 miles north of me and some about 2 miles south of me. Nothing on the radar except the departing storm heading east and north. Supposed to be sunny and warm later today.
My yard will be ending yet another month with less than 3/4ths of an inch total.
The cool weather arrives sometime Monday night so at least I have that to look forward to weatherwise.

Good Morning! Cloudy this morning. I'm having a day of rest today. I worked planting and mulching all day yesterday and got over tired. I guess I have to remember my age (73) and space things out a bit more. Was thinking about maybe hiring the boy next door to finish spreading the mulch. He's eleven. I wonder if he's old enough to be careful of the plants.

Good Monday morning all. Currently just 1°C and sunny. Off to work this morning, it's going to be a little weird being back full time. I know the dog isn't going to be too happy about being home alone all day again. Have a great day everyone :)

Getting basement swept. Sump pump hose out. From too dry to can not get rain to quit. Minor storm damage around here. Not like down south.

Happy Monday morning. Still same weather pattern here... 70-90F with a slight chance of rain. It was windy all day yesterday, so that helped with the heat. Today, looks calm and there's still a slight chance of rain.
After I take my aunt shopping, think I'll get a half yard of mulch and top off that new bed. I was noticing yesterday, that I need to start weeding.. darn things are growing faster than the plants!
I still have some containers to clean out... why do I keep putting that off?

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 7°C and overcast. Heavy rain in the forecast today so it looks like I won't get a full day of work in today. That's OK though, DH's birthday so I can make a cake. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning! Back to work so I can get some rest. :-D
We'll be cooling off over the next few days with temps from the 50s to lower 80s. Big change from yesterday's 90+ temp. And there's no chance of rain in the foreseeable future. Noticed on the weather forecast... we will be down into the 40s one night? Say what????
