It was 71 degrees here at 7am and thundering. It did rain. We have one.four inches of rain so far but it's starting to clear up. Rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week. It's all because I spent an hour or more watering stuff yesterday.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 14°C and overcast. A nice breeze too, which actually makes it feel quite cool. Off to work, and then home to celebrate my daughters 11th birthday, and then off to soccer. Busy day ahead! Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning. Rain at the office. No rain at my house. What's up with that? :D
Still a good chance of afternoon rain showers for the entire area through the weekend. When's my turn?
At least the cloud cover kept the temps a little lower. Didn't even have to water the containers yesterday.
But I know they'll be thirsty this evening.

Good morning all. This morning started at 73 deg and still hasn't hit the 80 deg mark yet. Got the front garden watered before the cut off time this morning will have to water the side and back after 6 tonight.
Weather forecast is for rain the next two days but it isn't supposed to be 100% coverage only 70-80%....guess whose garden will most likely be in the 20-30% section
    that gets NO rain.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently just 9°C and overcast. This isn't good for tomato production! We had a nice birthday celebration for my daughter and then she scored 2 goals at her soccer game. We have a happy, spoiled little girl! Off to work, have a great day all :)

Good morning all. What the 'bleep' am I doing up this early? Well, for the last 8 years or so we have taken our neighbor to DFW airport so she can make her yearly trip to Indiana to see her Mom. She is usually gone about 3 weeks so paying for long term parking at the airport would be a fortune. She always books a 7:30 a.m. flight, has to be out there at least 90 minutes before flight time, it's a 20 minute drive so we are in her driveway loading her cases into the car around 5:30 a.m. She always hands us money for breakfast on our way home. This year she will be gone 5 weeks, as her Mom gets older her visits get longer.

Randy took off till 9 this morning so he has gone back to bed. I should have but I think I will put on my gardening clothes and see what I can get done outside before we get any rain.

Oh, Yeah, we had 1/2 inch of rain last evening and should get more today.

Happy Thursday morning. We got about 1/4 inch of rain overnight. And it's overcast and kinda drizzly off and on. Wouldn't hurt my feels any if it just rained all day!
I took my aunt to do her shopping this morning and have a few errands to run here and there, so I don't think I'll be doing too much in the garden today anyhow. So come on rain... here's your chance to make me happy! :stew2:

We went to town to do some errands and our truck decided it didn't want to come home. I made it to the service garage and after waiting for half the day they decided they needed to keep it for a day or two so they gave us a ride home. Hopefully the rental car will be available by tomorrow. Otherwise the day was pretty dark and stormy. I don't think we got more than half an inch of rain if that much. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Happy Friday morning. Checked the rain gauge and it's right a 2 inches! The barrels are full. Some plants are "laying down" I guess from the weight of their wet blooms. They look like they will all spring back (hopefully). More rain expected throughout the day even though it's stopped now. Guess it's a good time to pull weeds between showers. :stew2:

Good morning all. A breezy, cool 64 this morning and wonderful!! My rain gauge now holds almost 2 inches of rain and that's even more wonderful.....except for the fact that during the rain yesterday we realized we had a leak in the roof and it was dripping through the ceiling. Not a big one, just a damaged shingle from a pecan branch falling on it at some point. But since we have not had a decent rain since early June we didn't know about till now. Randy got up on the roof and sealed it up. The ceiling will dry out since I only heard about 10 drops hit the floor.

No more rain in our forecast but the 100+ will be returning later next week.

    YAY! Toni got RAIN!
Good Saturday morning all. Currently 15°C and overcast. There is no rain in the forecast, but it sure looks like we may get some rain. Busy day ahead as the house is a mess, the laundry basket is overflowing and I have lots of gardening to do. Should be interesting to see how this works out LOL Have a great day all :)

Happy Saturday morning. Nice and cool out even now with temps in the mid 70s and a slight breeze. Everything looks so clean and smells fresh after the last couple of days of rain. (Another 1.25 inches in the gauge). Chances for rain throughout the day again but clearing off tomorrow and back to normal ol' dry hot summer.
I'll be doing some deadheading and weed pulling today. The mowing will have to wait until tomorrow, just a little too wet. Maybe I can get the trimming/edging done.

Good afternoon all. Overcast now but the clouds will be only a memory in a few hours then by Thurs the 100+ temps will return. Oh, well, the last few days have been great weatherwise and that memory will have to hold me through the really hot part of Summer to come.
Only about 63 days until the Autumnal Equinox and the hope of cooler weather.

We are taking off for a couple of days. Tomorrow is Randy's birthday and one year since my cancer surgery so instead of sitting around the house mentally reliving that event we are going to runaway until Monday afternoon. We will have the iPad with us so I can check in once in a while.
