    Evening all.
Storms have moved passed us so I am back online.
Tornadoes reported all around us, a couple did some 'touch and goes' a few miles north of us. We had heavy winds and 80 mph/128kph winds. No damage in my yard that I have found so far thank goodness.

Time to chill out with a glass of wine and TV reruns.

Good evening from hot and humid Virginia. This whole week has been humid with daily thunderstorms and brief downpours. Everyone is tiring of all of the rain that we have had this year- but it has been a good thing-the drought situation we've had for several years is now corrected. I have not had to water my garden at all. Spent the day trimming, weeding, planting, sweating, and baking in the sun. Picked the first veggies out of the garden today! Now it's time to enjoy my favorite addiction-Garden Stew. :smt024

Good evening all. I'm not feeling any better, in fact I think I feel WORSE than I did this morning. I did manage to get the rest of the veggies planted today. I couldn't taste my dinner and my head feels like it might explode. I think I'd better go lay down! Have a good night all.

Netty, hope you are feeling well soon. I am so glad I don't have a kid in school anymore, we have all been healthier since she graduated 4 years ago.

I stayed in the house all day today, just couldn't stand the thought of getting hot and tired again today.
Temp reach 96F/36C but the humidity was high enough that when you stepped outside it felt like at least 105F/41C

Other than going to breakfast in the morning, it will be another day of staying inside....as will every day next week it appears.

Sorry you are not feeling better Netty... I hope tomorrow is better. Toni, good move to stay in the cool. Sometimes ya just gotta do that.

It was at least 90 (F) today and humid... I was outside in the sun all afternoon at a wine festival. My goodness it was HOT. I bought some delicious Spanish olive oil pressed with
Meyer lemon, and some black current balsamic vinegar that was awesome. I can't wait for the first tomato!!!

Good evening all. Currently 22°C and it was a beautiful day. I felt well enough to go to work today, and it's a good thing I did...plants needed water everywhere! I worked like heck and then came home, cleaned house, made dinner, went to golf lessons and soccer with the kids. Came home to relax and stew a little and of course my high speed is down again. Blah! I am NOT impressed!
Do anyone else have the amount of problems I have with their high speed connections??? Oh well, off to bed I guess.

Good evening all, was not around much here today as I was supervising English exams in a local school. A bit boring just watching people write but that's ok as it's only once every few months.

The snow and cold are now all but forgotten, what with the current 80 F days, sunshine, and the hummmmm of the mosquitoes out in the woods in the evening. The constant inspection for ticks, after being out doors, and the bug cleanup in the morning at the windows where there was a lite on last evening. But it's all worth it not to shiver out there.

Evening all! I've borrowed a computer from a net friend. :D We're staying here for a couple of nights before heading further south. I'll keep in touch through Sjoerd if he agrees to being a middle man.
We passed a lot of snow yesterday, and I thought of you Texans and your heat. Around 30C during the day here, but cool 18 C in the water. Enjoy yourselves, we are! *big hug all around*

Wow Toni and Eileen. I could believe those temps in texas maybe, but why are you so cold in Scotland, Eileen? We are 85 going on 90 degrees by the weekend. Send that front our way please. What we need to do is to blend our weather. I can only do the most necessary things outdoors. Picked 10 more cukes today. Watered plants in greenhouse and escaped to AC.
    Good evening everyone.

I'm in Norway still, but going to Denmark, maybe Germany and Holland later, then back up through Denmark and Sweden. All depending on the weather. If it's nice I refuse to drive for days on end. :D I'd rather be swimming.

Good evening all. Rather warmish today, 103 with a heat index of 107....tomorrow pretty much the same in store. Maybe a cool down this weekend and rain, but I don't want to say that too loud for fear of chasing it away.

Got some watering and repotting of plants done early then puttered around inside for the rest of the day.
