Very pretty ones. Haven't seen any around here. And definitely none outside in the garden. -12C? that's all? I think out lowest was -18-20.
These look so familiar to me, I wonder if my Grandmother grew them in NH? I am always trying to trick a northern plant into becoming a snowbird. We are in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, so it gets very cold in the winter but also very hot in summer, it's usually the latter that defeats me! My dream is a cluster of white birch by the pond. I am hoping they will tolerate the summers if they get the wet feet!
Calin, we're on the coast so it rarely gets below -15°C, but I know "Rubin" is grown outside in Tromsø, way north in Norway, so they should take lower temps. CM, you're welcome. Cris, my mother's got an Oxalis that's been around for a very long time, so it's not improbable that your grandmother grew them. All I can say is that you have to find the hardiest one and just try it. Good luck with the white birch.
Hi Droopy, a lovely collection of Oxalis,..i must watch out for some more over here,..the only one i have is "Oxalis deblis",'Shamrocks Pink',..thoughi have to contain it in pots,..it is impressive.
