I think the pillar is looking wonderful. Can't wait to see it next year when it achieves your desired look. As far as deadheaded those tall roses... I see a step ladder in your future! :-D

( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Cheryl, i was hoping for some type of long cutter/pruner rather than a step ladder,..i do have one,..but its a tight squeeze to get alongside that rose bush,..anyway i got a bright idea this morning,..so watch this space as they say. -------------------------------------------------- Hi Carolyn, some time back some friends were saying they would also like to walk through the garden to smell the roses,..the best i could do was to dry rose petals and bag them,..it worked,..lovely scent to this day.
