I'm not dead! Sorry I haven't been posting...I've been too busy to do much at all. Here are pics from 2 days of work.

The first day I pulled up a bunch of green weeds that were bugging me and that's about it.

This is one of the weeds I pulled up. Ridiculous. Took me a half hour just for this one.

Then the second day...a couple weeks later, my fiance and I dedicated a whole day to doing yard stuff. Here is the result of our work.
Eric freed the plum tree of the metal around it.

I had to use a saw to cut down 3 sumac trees...pulled up weeds over here and behind it all discovered another rose bush

Golly, that's a vast improvement already. Congratulations on getting this far. I'm so glad you've got help. Cleaning up is much more fun with company. :D The outside spaces look inviting now.

You are doing a great job! It looks great! And I'll bet the plum tree is happy now, to be out of its cage :)

What a big difference, each plant gets to put on it's show without being hidden by others. Good work

    Congratulations on your graduation!

Mystery plant number 1 is a Dicentra spectabilis (bleeding heart) I went outside to look at mine! They are very hardy and make such pretty flowers!

They are very pretty, mine are planted with some ferns, they seem to like each other.

    So I need advice...

We have a plum tree (one of the top pics) and a peach tree (not pictured on either side of our patio. The fruit is falling and bursting open on our stone and it's starting to smell. What should I do? Do I cut the tree way back? Is there a way to train it away from the fence?

    Any help would be appreciated!
