I have learned: You can have great parties with people all over and never leave your living room. That dogs are "human" and can have businesses. It cheers you up if you are feeling blue. Wannabe
I have learned: 1. Gnomes travel all over the world. 2. That even I might someday put one in my garden. 3. That you do not have to have a degree in horticulture and botany to be able to enjoy plants with other people. 4. That weeds can look nice in photos. 5. That garden art can be homemade and look fabulous. 6. That there is a name for turtles, and it is "dooley".
I've also learned every time I see a turtle anywhere I think Dooley.I also know I now stay on the puter way to much and anyone I talk to I mention the Stew.
Things I have learned on the Stew: 1. There are nice people on the internet. 2. Most of them are or should be on the Stew. 3. I know more about gardening than I thought I did. 4. I like gnomes. 5. I get carried away with rambling on my blogs and people actually like it. 6. It's a really good feeling doing nice things for people you've never met but feel are your good friends. Dooley
Some other things I have learned: 1. That in our stew there is all kinds of spices. 2.That people all want to feel loved. 3. That in cyberspace people can hear you cry and laugh. 4. That you can tell your deepest fears to complete strangers and they will not judge you or stay strangers for long. 5. That I love all of my Stew family even though if we passed on the street we would not know each other.
OMG, Richard, I recognised you immediately. You have not changed since the days in the Quarter. Of course, you did not have the horse. Or maybe you did and I didn't notice it.
I have learned that..... 1. I am not the only wife whose husband has a warped sense of humor and that both comforts me and frightens me. 2. That in Sweden there is a fantastic Irish Gnome who had the wonderful idea to start a gardening forum where we could all finally meet. 3. That after years of being looked at as odd for having a Gnome in my garden, I am not alone....and that the other's who have them are just as normal as I am.
Lol @ Richard . Where did you find that photo of my father? And Toni you say the most marvellous things. Another thing I've learned... Toni is very attached to her snowball smilie avatar
1. I've found more out about ponds on these forums than I have in all the water garden books I have. Thanks Jan. :-D 2. I've discovered that being eccentric (whether you're a gnome or not)is definately OK. 3. That I get a good feeling every time I come in here knowing that my friends are here too.
