I chitted potatoes yesterday, tossed and spread compost today, and have pea seed soaking before it goes into the garden tomorrow.
Spring is not for the faint of heart or weak of back!

Hi MG--I have no idea what 'chitting potatoes' involves! Spreading compost I know is definitely not for the weak of back! I am glad that you are able to get to the spring gardening tasks, although maybe when mine finally start I will be wishing for the 'leisure' of winter!

Hi Cayuga Morning,..glad to see your daughter not injured,..one touch of the brake in snow can be a disaster.

Cabin fever,..ah yes i have being having that of late,..staring out into the garden and not able to venture out with torrents of rain and gales,..but it was nice today,..however we are told to get used to this type of weather for some time also be better prepared for next year,..as its expected to be the same  :)

Today I did not have to look far to find sure signs of spring. Living only a few miles from Cayuga Morning we share the same climate. :)

I found a frog ready to enjoy the fine spring festivities.

He checked the water depth to make sure it was safe:

    The water is wet……sort of.

Well, now that froggie has toughened-up a bit out in the cold, I reckon he's ready to ride over to Miss Mousey's house, uh-huh? Don't let him forget to take his sword and pistol.

Very funny Jerry! Did everyone see how deep froggie's pond was? 19 inches!

    Sjoerd--Obviously a reference to a children's story....(hold on while I look it up) Froggie Went A-Courting?

You are right Cayuga. Well, not really a story, but a very old Irish song.
You can listen to it on YouTube.
