There is always more strength than we realize. There are always people you would never expect to, that will help. Love your son, cherish the memories that bring you joy. A time will come when he will find the bottom, then, and only then, will he accept the help he needs. You have great strength of character and a capacity for love that knows no bounds. Do not forget the rest of the family, tough love is not hard on those we love, it is hardest on ourselves. Peace of mind, and happiness in spirit to you in this time of great need.
Man, is that ever true!! Thank you all so much for your well wishes. I can really use all that positivity. I'm going Christmas shopping today. I don't feel like it, but I'm embracing the saying "Fake it till you make it!" If there were ever a time when that needs to work, this would be it! I know that getting out and shopping for the grandbabies, wearing my jingle bell around my neck, my Christmas shirt, my jingle bell earrings, heck even my Santa socks! will help lift my spirits. I'm just going to railroad right over the fact that I don't feel like it, and do it anyway. That's what the "faking it" part is all about, right?
