Tomatoes - anyone else having a bad year with them?

my normal tomatoes have juuuust flowered, I have 3 fruits growing so far, so yeah it might be a close one thise year with tomatoes up in NY area >.<

 

KK I have had several years when mine did that. Just sat there and didn`t do much. Then they took off and I was wishing they would slow down. So don`t give up.

Before the July hailstorm, my plants were blossoming well and setting tomatoes, but the hail pretty well decimated things.
I have picked some cherry tomatoes, and a few San Marzanos, but my brandywines are just starting to set.
My straightneck yellow squash has done very well this year, and I have fist sized acorn squash, but now they're getting what I believe to be powdery mildew.
Doesn't seem to be a great tomato year for anyone in NE either.

 

I have more then plenty of tomatos we just need more warmer nites and deffinatly warm sunny days to get toms ripe. I gotten maybe 3 pickled cucs off my vines. I have maybe 1 small zucchini coming along. the only thing doing really good are my peas. I don't know when I need to pick them it looks like they're ready to be picked but how is one to know when to pick peas??

 

Hi Petunia! Pick your peas when the pods are plump, but not too fat or the peas will be tasteless. Pick one you think may be ready and taste it for a better idea
