Oh well, just a thought. No pun intended :D. Ya, I'm a shower person to. NO SEPTIC? What happens to all the, the, you know what? We have a conventional septic where everything from the house goes in there. I would love to have it set up where all your water from washing and showers goes into a holding tank that you then can us for water your yard. But I don't think my honey will go for what it would cost to do that. :(
Stay cool and safe in that heat. :stew1:

The indoor plumbing was not put in my house until 1979 [I did not live here then], and the sewer line empties into a "lagoon" sort of. It isnt quite a real lagoon. It is grandfathered in because of its age. A real lagoon is a holding pond for sewage to let it decompost naturally. The pipe empties on the side of the hill and there is a small berm to catch the stuff. It decomposes naturally, however, I would not call it a lagoon though it seems to serve the purpose. I lived here for several years before I found out there was no septic system or real lagoon. Before 1979, there was an old fashioned outdoor privy, which was still standing when I moved here. It was useless and had been filled in by the time I got here. My home was built in 1920. The people who did the indoor plumbing live "downstream" sort of from it, so ?

Hummmm, that is very interesting. I never heard of a holding pond except on the dairy farms we have around here. Being built when it was I guess they didn't plan on indoor plumbing. :stew1:
