Carolyn, This Bee Balm first grew 3 to 4 feet tall. This year is it very short probably because of weather conditions. I have never seen mildew on this plant. It is in full sun. I will be looking into buying monarchs for next summer. I really don't want to see them dissapear.

We have a small garden tour coming up this Thursday. It's good to have people visit over the whole summer for it keeps the gardens, weed free. (We make all visitors weed a little before they can do a walk through.) Just kidding.....

Barb all I can say is Beautiful. That is a great idea to look for old metal stuff at yard sales. I will have to keep that in mind. We have been blessed to see some Monarch Butterflies on the milkweed we have growing wild on our property. But this year we have hardly no Humming Birds. I think the bad weather in the spring has effected their migration. :( But then also we were not home much in June so that could be why the Hummers gave up on our yard. Not sure.
Love how you put your gardens break up your grass areas.

Tooty I learned all this from watching "toni
Mistress of Garden Junque". LOL Actually I get many ideas from our fellow stubies.

    a many flowers in front.jpg
This is an area of our front garden looking up from the lower part of our driveway.

    a sharpingstone.jpg
Sharping stone picked up at a garage sale for a little bit of nothing.

    a wagonwheel.jpg
Wagon Wheel was free in a box lot at an auction.

    a cement bench.jpg
Now this cement bench was 2 purchases. The 2 legs were 50cents at a garage sale and the seat was $2.00 years later at a flee market.

    a plow.jpg
Potato plow was at a flee market for 40 bucks.

    horse and plow.jpg
Now this plow is being pulled by a Budwiser display horse the plow was $10.

Did I learn "real good" toni??????

I think you have done very well, young student. More practice is always a good thing so get back out there and do more junque-ing before you get rusty at the art of finding the deals.

Nice Barb. I love that pink flower. I have no idea what it was, kind of reminded me of a very fancy zinnia/gerbera cross.

Barb I forgot to mention that I have the Yellow Loosestrife growing in my gardens as well. After blooming the earwigs got after them before I realized it and stripped them bare. Poor things. They are just twigs now. But they will come back next year. They are hard to kill.
