unfortunately the supermarkets are just the tip of the iceberg, with just as much waste if not more in the transport system and production areas. I've had to dump pallets of edible food thats been out of shelf-life. I think my record was 120 in one day about 75000 pizzas. needless to say wasn't a happy day. Unfortunately as people have said companies can't afford the scandal of someone getting sick. Its less being sued and more the Media Frenzy and the loss of sales that follow.
