Started sunny here too, didn't last long. Been cloudy, warm and muggy since about 8 a.m. Around 82 degrees now and with the night time temps still in the 50-60 range and the humidity level hovering around 50% we have been running the central AC at night.

It's been raining steadily all day here. Well at least it's getting rid of all the snow and ice I suppose. Next thing'll be a mud bath of a garden - oh joy!!! :(

I worked at the library from 5 to 7 pm today and when I came out to come home, it was RAINING!!! I had to use the wipers coming home. Amazing! But the weather people will probably say that it isn't measurable. I hope it rains all night. Oops! I forgot to cover my plants. Now, I will have to find a flashlight and go do it or it will snow before morning. dooley

It didn't rain all night but the sky is still dark and rain is forecast for the rest of the week so maybe we will get an accumulation. I uncovered my plants but I'm not sure I should have done it. If it rains too hard maybe it will flood them too much. I think I will cover them over before we go shopping. Only 40F this morning. Darkly overcast, breezy and not too terribly humid , 73 degrees.
We are expecting a spring storm tonight into tomorrow morning.

Not much of a chance for tornadoes here, might be just a bit east of us. The strongest possibility for us is damaging wind and hail.....along with heavy rain.

I covered my plants before I went shopping. Good thing!! In Prescott, there was snow, hail, rain, sun and very windy conditions. It depended which block you were driving I guess. In and out of it all day long. The streets would get wet, then dry, then wet, then dry. No accumulation though. It was cold!!! I only wore a sweatshirt as it was supposed to be 60F. Never made it to 40F up there. Nothing when we got home. I called Dan and he said they had freezing rain for a bit but mostly it was dark and dreary. Sun is out now but it is windy and not very warm. Nice sunny day in Dublin , continued sowing seeds . Not much in the way of germination , except the cress which is always easy anyway . I always keep a supply , its great on salads and sandwiches . Usually takes 3 weeks from sowing to table at this time of the year and is a great seed to get kids interested in growing , 8) Bugs

I remember growing mustard and cress seeds on blotting paper when I was a kid. Great fun watching them grow and then being able to eat them on sarnies. :D Nowadays I grow a lot of mung beans - far, far cheaper than buying beansprouts from the shops and they taste better too. 8)

I think Dooley got all the wet stuff in the front before it got here. I didn't feel well last night so I went to bed real early, fell asleep to the sound of thunder and woke up to find that those two claps of thunder were all we got from the storm.

It's sunny, not a cloud to be seen and 57 this morning. Going into the low 70's by late afternoon with no rain in sight for the near future.
Red Flag Warning is in effect still...so the fire departments are on standby for wildfires.

I don't know where all the wet stuff went Toni. We had snow, rain, etc. all day but the ground is still dry. Good thing I covered everything last night as it went below freezing. It's all cold this morning. Hope it does okay. The sun is shining but it's still windy.Probably won't get above 50F today. dooley

The weather forecast for the next three days is rain and snow or a mixture of both with winds gusting to 40 miles per hour. Brian filled the wood boxes.

Hope you're feeling better today Toni.

We've only had a light drizzle here today and the pond has almost de-frosted. :D If it stays like this over the week-end I'm spending some time outdoors!!! Got 11 shrubs that need planting before they come into full leaf.

Yep, Eileen, I felt soooo much better after I had slept 11 hours. Think I just over did it in the yard that day and getting my muscles back in shape after not gardening for months I hadn't slept well in weeks.

Anyway, 'nuther bright, sunny day in store for us. In the 50's this morning but going into the 80's later today. Warm enough lately that if you stand out in the garden for a few minutes you can almost see the plants growing.
