Today started out warm and went up from there.
We were out west of here about 2 hours at my Mom's home and the temp at 5 p.m. when we left was 92
The high here for the day was 89.
Think I am whinning now? Just wait until summer actually gets here. ;)

I guess we all have to whine or grumble about something. I grumble about snow, Eileen grumbles about rain so you have our permission to grumble about the temperature. Dooley Oops! I guess I can't speak for Eileen. She'll have to do that for herself. Sorry, Eileen!! Dooley

Well, we were hit by a hit and run thunderstorm. Its started out as a nice day. Not to hot , not too cold. Just perfect weather. The sun was out. I was out planting the hundreds of elephant ears I found and dug up yesterday.

I was happily digging along and I noticed it getting dark.....fast. I look up and a big fat rain drop hit me in the face. I jump up, yell for the dogs to get in the house. I didnt make it before the sky openned up and a ocean came down on me! It lasted maybe three mins and everything , including me, is soaked through. And of course now the sun is coming back out!

And let me say here, that the sun is shining in my yard and through me windows but it is raining on the house next to me!

    Thats the south for ya!

-1 when I took the urchins to school, but by the time I got to the allotment it was +2. WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO. :)

Things were looking up on the way home as the temperature peaked at +4, but the weathermen warned of a -9 windchill today! Have to say, at times, I could well believe it!

No need to apologise Dooley as I'm about to have another grumble about our weather!! The snow has melted but the rain is now lashing down. It's supposed to turn to snow again tonight but I hope it doesn't. :( I really MUST get my seeds into the ground before much longer. At the moment if I planted anything it would either freeze or be washed away.

I hope it clears up for you soon Eileen. Although watching the weather this evening it seems like some bad weather in Scotland for the rest of the week. :(

Wow, what a fab day in Essex today! Overcast first thing, but by 10am the clouds broke and the sun came out and within no time, the sky was blue. The wind was still nippy, but I positioned myself out of the wind, in a comfy garden chair and closed my eyes, holding my face up to the sun, and it was glorious feeling the warmth on my skin! Did the school run on foot and went early so I could walk through the woods. Lovely. The kids and I had a lovely long slow walk home admiring the crocuses all open on the village green.

    Snow forecast tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we had soft hail last night then frost. In the early hours of the morning it clouded over and started to hail and then snow. Driving conditions are dreaful as there's a layer of ice in between the hail and snow. :( Ian's working from home today which means I won't be on the computer much.
Hope everyone else is having better weather.
    Take care all.

Snow flurries here in Dublin . Forecast for tomorrow St. Patricks Day is not good . The big parade will have close to 500,000 spectators . There are lots of marching bands , floats , leprachauns , monsters etc , its a great day out for the kiddies . Lots of countries send over their highschool bands particulary the U.S . They rarely prepare for the weather , to see all those blue legs , shure faith and begorrah but your heart would go out to them :D 8) Bugs

Cloudy, just below mild temperatures and patches of sun. The parades will surely be freezing tomorrow

It's nice here today, but another weekend of rain and/or snow is predicted. We have to get lots of things done today. Dooley
