Yesterday, it rained and/or snowed all day. This morning there is a thin layer of icy snow on everything. But, today, it is going to be sunny and start to warm up. By Saturday it is going to be 70 F. Yipee! Dooley

What a differance a day makes , its a lovely sunny day here in Dublin everywhere people were saying hello , everyone is cheerful and happy .The grass is growing , most of the shrubs are budding :) ;) This is the confession bit  I skived off work in the afternoon , did a Tom Sawyer/ Huck Finn :D nice to be able to sit in the garden and watch the tadpoles breaking out from the spawn, and count the fish survivors and think about gardening 8) Bugs

We are having an early spring cold snap too. Upper 30's over night,50's this afternoon. And windy. The cooler temps and the wind play havock with my sinuses, that and the still soggy ground are good reasons to stay inside today and get caught up on other things.

When we got up this morning it was 26F and things were covered with a mix of ice and snow. By 10 am everything had melted and it was a beautiful sunny day. It was a bit breezy but by noon even that had quit. I spent the afternoon outside, not doing gardening though. I was cleaning a travel trailer we bought that our son is going to live in for awhile. More in blog about that. Anyway it was a beautiful day and there is no more snow or rain in the forecast for awhile. It will be 70F on Saturday. Hurrah!! It was 65F this afternoon. Dooley

Woke up at 6am to another hard frost. :( My poor frogs, toads and newts are waaaaaay behind everyone elses. They haven't even mated yet let alone laid down spawn. Ian's off work all next week for his spring break but it doesn't look as though the garden's going to get much attention if the weather stays like this. :?

Come on everyone and join me: spring...Spring.....SPRING!!!! Maybe if we shout it enough Mother Nature will hear us eh?!! ;) ;)

It's been a bit chilly these days in little old Galway. Also dull, very dull. It's 6 deg C / 43 deg F at the moment but strangely it seems a tad colder than that. Still no sign of snow. I give up

We were in the mid-30's last night and not supposed to reach 50 today. Some areas north and west of here had snow flurries.

Not really unusual for us to have winter in March, but the weather patterns have changed during the last 15 years so it is a rare occurrence. We bought and moved into this house 19 years ago the 28th of March and we got 2 inches of snow the next day.

After a few weeks of wintery weather, I think spring may be here. The daffodils are blooming and the pansies are doing well. Tulips are coming up nicely. It will be 69F here today. I think I will get out the rose food and feed the rose bushes. They all have new leaves. Brian may be able to work on the greenhouse again. Thinks are looking like spring here. dooley
