Wow Eileen I was going to complain about how hot it has been here!! But I guess we can never have the weather just right!! I hope it warms up again soon, but I hope not as warm as it has been here!! It's noon and the temp is already 84F !! Forecasted high is 92F !!Also hoping for some rain and soon!!! My plants are having to be watered twice a day and I didn't feel well enough to go water this morning!! So everyone wish my plants luck until John can water them this evening!!

Hot and dry around here. Mid to upper 90's are the expected norm now even tho they are close to a month earlier than normal.

Last week's heat finally broke with thunderstorms - we don't get them often here, so it was a bit of a novelty, everyone standing at their windows or on their decks just watching the distant lightning flashes and hearing the thunder. Rained for two days and now it's very pleasant, everything washed clean and fresh, still, overcast and 65 F.

Well, I did my bit for water conservation today. I cleaned my car in a huge downpour! I got soaked through, but I lathered the car up, and the rain rinsed it clean! It is now sitting on the drive shining!

The poor old window cleaner was up and down his ladder in between showers, and in the end he gave up and went home.

We are going camping at the weekend....with the kids....if this rain keeps up I think we will be going boating!

Sunny here. It was cool this morning but it's going to be 90F by afternoon. That snake was hiding where it would stay cool. Dooley

Another hot and dry day here too. Mid-90's this afternoon. I got out at 7:30 this morning to water and do a little weeding....just about melted in the heat already out there then.

Rain, what a beautiful word. Drought conditions are starting just about the same time as they did last year. We are still on voluntary water rationing. I can use the sprinkler before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. but I can stand out there in the heat and hand water anytime of the day. If we make it to stage 4, that means no watering of outside plants period, except by garden centers.....which is funny, they can water but if we buy the plants we can not water them to keep them alive.
